A different sort of runner build that i thought others might like to see in action. Similar to a R/Mo using MR but uses rit skills such as resilient weapon, resilient was xiko and generous was tsungrai instead. I find the increased regen and ability to drop ashes for condition removal very handy. If you do things right you never have to stop near an enemy to remove cripple or heal.
Just using storms chaser, escape and dodge there. Although could just as easily drop wilderness survival and replace storms with zojuns as soysauceman said.
Rit skills are Resilient Weapon, Resilient was Xiko and Ashes of Generous Tsungrai.
were you using a staff or an axe with hp upgrade to increase hp, if so which one is best?
I have a ranger/ele, i try to run like you do but i just get swamped and my hp drops dramatically, im lvl 20 with expertise, wilderness sur and mark all above 10.
Elementalist is a bad choice as secondary for a ranger runner. Ranger runner should use either monk or in this case ritualist which using resilient item spells easily survives cursed lands and fire imps.
I saw a video some time ago of a r/e running sanctum but that was using a bonder monk to keep them alive.
Weapon used is just a +10 energy staff with +5 energy and +5 armour bonus, a staff with 2 hp upgrades would be ideal though. Only hp bonuses at the time of run were major vigor rune and generous was tsungrai bonus.
The reality is that any almost class can muster the speed skills to run (e.g mesmers illusion of haste) but to survive you need the right build.
