Don't rush getting out of Pre-Searing. Yeah there is a lot of cool stuff to get afterwards but I find having at least lvl 7 or so before crossing over good.
This is good if it is your first Char, more experianced player do as you please.
Personally I find it a bit easier to get going with quests and such in Post with a bit more Power.
You can always do as you please, this is just my 2g
