If you are running in the Crystal Desert there are Elonian Chests scattered throughout several of the more prominent runs. Grab a couple of Elonian Keys from Augury before heading out and then use open the chests during your run. All the items that I've gotten seem to be gold or purple max or near max items. Usually, there is 1 at the end of the run from Augury to Destiny's and as long as you have Endure Pain or something to heal, you can easily grab it. Also, there are 2 chests in the Destiny's to Thirsty run, near the middle and next to Thirsty, and usually 1 in the Diviner's Ascent for the run to Elona.
