Here are some general tips to use when deleting a character.
1. Expert salvage your armor. You will get the rune that was in it, or you could possibly get crafting material. Either way, it is worth the trouble.
2. Strip all weapons from that old character. The weapon could be valuable for your next character, or possibly just salvaged for crafting material.
3. Take your bags with you! Most people did not know this, but you can remove your belt pouch and bags and place them instorage. They have to be empty, however, but you will still get the bags that you had.
So, you're thinking of creating a new character huh? Need to delete that Necro that you never used, but spent your money on that rune to boost skills? Still want the rune? SALVAGE your armor! If you use the Expert Salvage kit on your armor, most likely you will be able to pull the rune out of it. Sometimes you will have crafting materials salvaged from it, but it is worth the risk.
Also, make sure you remove the weapons on your soon-to-be deleted character. Your bags and belt pouch can also be put into storage for your next char!
