Alot of people whine that Thunderhead Keep is too hard. It's not really that hard, it's a mission that requires more organisation than most, more teamwork than most and is less forgiving of mistakes than most.
The first part of the mission should be easy for any group as long as you:-
- Take your time.
- Stop to Regen as often as possible.
- Only take on one group at a time.
- Keep the group back and send a single person to lure.
- Use the locked door to your advantage, use ranged spells to clear the area before the door is opened.
The difficult part is holding the keep. My own personal choice for group composition should include:-
The trick to making Thunderhead Keep easy is effective use of the catapults. If you look fire the catapults you will see craters on the ground where they hit. So take note of which crater is to which catapult and when enemies stray into it - FIRE! then fire again and again until they leave or are killed.
Doing this means many groups don't make it to the keep or are badly hurt when they get there.
Don't put one person on each catapult either, you only need one for the east and one for the west.
When the enemies break through and make for the king, leave the catapults and defend the king - you will probably be in the closest position to do that.
