| Description |
Henchmen, the NPC's some love and some hate. To me I was like many we hated them; I thought they were useless and only good for distractions. Well don’t think the same, as the game progresses henchies will become: higher levels, stronger, faster casting. The only main thing that doesn’t change besides their appearance is there AI. This you sometimes have to master
Over the environment, enemies etc...
If you have ever been walking through a swamp with poisonous waters all around you and all of a sudden a henchmen’s hp starts to decrease because of stupidity of him/her walking into the water. That’s what sometimes you have got to overcome in the enviroment. When you’re walking with henchmen make sure you keep an eye on them as much as possible. If your walking near a swamping poison water try to find another way if not get ready to heal them or do what you can in anyway possible to keep them alive.
Choosing Hench’s:
When choosing, Most would recommend ALWAYS one healer unless you already have one in group. If you’re entering an area with massive amounts of monsters that could overwhelm any small size group of 8 then take an elementalist. Else are perfect for large groups because they can cast firestorm, blizzard etc... Move that can kill big groups. Also I would recommend at least 2 warriors in a group unless you already have some; because you need warriors to keep the pesky monsters that want to run up to the casters and get easy kills. Mesmers, Mesmers can be VERY useful if your entering an area with monsters that like to cast spells, hexes etc... On you and your fellow companions because they can stop or cause a decent amount of damage on the caster.
That’s my Henchmen INFO 101 for now until then plays strong.
