If you've made a new character, theres one thing you should never leave town without: A monk henchman. Monk henchmen provide relatively potent healing, and make clearing an area relatively easy. Also, if your paarty dies and you're the only one left standing, you can use your resuurection skill on the monk and relax as they revive the rest of the party. Monks also relieve stress as you aren't constantly fretting over your self-heal being recharged. All in all, remember to bring a monk.
