Here are some pointers for farming (and running to) the Chaos Planes.
*In the first room it is usually more efficient to leave ataxes and only kill the graspings. However if you have a build that can kill them within a reasonable amount of time feel free.
*Do not stop to kill the ataxes/graspings on the way to the Twin Serpent mountains. It's just not worth the time.
*Any type of speed boost will get you over the traps provided that you do in fact have enough space to get through.
*When you get to the Chaos Planes it is best to pull three dream riders at a time and kill their mobs all at once. This optimizes the speed of the run.
*Don't go into the bone pits unless you have gotten less than 3 ectos in your run or you seem to be getting many ectos(above 10).
*The the worst places to lag in the uw are in corners where you can get body blocked. Avoid corners with this possibility when possible.
