Rather than running around killing as many creatures as you can, there is an alternate why of making reputation points.
Filling up Hard Mode Hero's handbooks is a fast way to make some reputation. The quick way of doing this is to find 3 fast quests to do over and over again.
Suggested Quests:
1) Genius Operated Living Enchanted Manifestation
2) Curse of the Nornbear
3) A Gate Too Far
all these quests take little time to do. If you get fast enough, you should be able to get 6k faction per hour with this method.
notes:
* A Time for Heroes can be faster if you are a monk and can solo this.
* The Snowman lair is faster for Deldrimor reputaion.
