There are a lot of different ways to farm reputations points. Sure they are a bunch of quick safe ways to do it. But I personally prefer doing dungeons to get whatever kind of points I need. Every time you do a dungeon not only do you get points for whatever area you are in but also about 1k+ dwarf points. So basically dwarf points are just a bonus on top of what you are going for. That is why in my opinion it the the most fun/quick/profitable way to get your rep points.
