Here are a couple of simple ways to farm Dyes in Pre-Searing.
First of all, you may be wondering "Why should I farm for dyes in the Tutorial section of the game?"
Well I've found that Dye drops are much more common in Pre-Searing than Post, even rare dyes like the Black color.
Where to Farm
One of the best places to farm for dyes is outside Ashford Abbey while having the quest "Bandit Raid" active.
Simply exit Ashford Abbey and go to the Left and near the top of the field is a large mob of Bandits for you to kill.
Another good places is in the Catacombs.
Exit Ashford to the Catacombs, and go to the Right. Walk around the building housing Necromancer Munne and you should encounter some Gargoyles. They do not drop as frequently as the Bandits but they can still bring in some money.
