In nightfall, at several instances you are required to make a choice to take one hero, or another. This scared me because i didn't really know which one I wanted.
Luckily for you, when you beat the game there will be quests in the final area (after beating the last boss) that will allow you to go to a zone and talk to that hero's particular "boss".
when you complete each quest to unlock a hero you will gain access to that hero in your party, and 2500 experiance. (easiest 7500 exp i've ever gotten)
Don't be afraid to pick! You can't go wrong!
