Anytime you enter and explorable area of Elona you should first and foremost speak to the Priest or Sunspear next to the Resurection shrine. This way you will be on the hunt for monsters in that area.
When you are on the hunt you recieve Sunspear Promotion points for killing that particular type of monster. You have to kill these monsters anyway so you might as well get promotion points while doing it.
