Though it is constantly being rumored that this item has been removed, it has not. The quest is from Symon the Scribe in Ascalon City, and he can be difficult to find in the first place, and the quest does not become active until after you have done The Great Northern Wall. So do the first mission, then go talk to him. You will then need to find the three monuments throughout Ascalon. The worst is in Ruins of Surmia, it is very far north in the mission, and you can't run it or Rurik will die and the mission will end. The best way to do it is to make sure you have the quest active when you are actually doing the mission, you will come across the monument before you finish the mission. The other two are easy enough to find. Once you have done this, you will get your -50hp grim cesta for 55ing, which is indeed still useful even with the advent of spiritbonders. You can sell this item for 5-7k in droks, or use it yourself.
