The quest is in pre Searing so you need the first Guild Wars game. The quest is The Bear Hunters. To speed things up you can bring a friend so you get 2 ale's per run.
Buying and Trading Ale
You can also buy Ale for 200 gold each or trade in Credits in Factions to the relevaant traders.
