Whenever you need to buy some materials for armor just advertise in trade chat the amount of material you want to buy you should be aiming to buy the material for 5g below the trader price for each one, so if the material is 120g at trader you should aim to buy for 7g each from a real person, for glittering dust advertise at temple of ages and anything else advertise at droknars you can easily save over 1 or 2k in this way, for maybe 10 minutes work depending on the amount you are buying. The only exception to this is plant fibres which appear to be in very low supply!
