The January MAT is over and the results are in. Congratulations are due to Mistral Edge [Me] for taking the GvG side of things, and to Murder Za for taking the Hero Battle division.
Mistral Edge took the rout of playing 'Sineptitude' and basically overpowering everything on the split. Close Encounter put up a solid fight though and really just did the best they could in a situation where they were horrendously outbuildt. Read that match report here.
Murder Za took out Ekelon in the finals of the elimination rounds. Ekelon is a notable hero battler for winning three other tournaments, so it's easy to imagine that he is a challenging opponent. You can read the match report for this match here.
Now nerf sineptitude. Because next monthly is heavily favored towards split builds like that. Though I do hear LoD and party healing in general will be buffed. LoD should even be fully restored from what I hear.
I have a lesser problem with the assassins, but at least 1 of their attacks should be blockable... The current chain is just completely unblock-frenzy...
