It's been a nerve wracking few days for us all here at gameamp, there have been several attempts to hack the site with little bits of malicous code (not very well written code at that from all acounts). You've probably noticed the threads on the forums and seen a few comments on guides, screenshots, articles etc that looked a little suspicious.....
The good news is that the problem has now been resolved, we can all relax again in the warm cuddly glow of gameampness with little fear of this kind of thing recurring again in the very near future.
What this has done has made the site more secure, the 'powers that be' in fixing this have stopped any future attempts of this nature getting through.
There may still be remnants around the place so if you see anything suspicous just holla at your nearest friendly staff member and we will get on it post haste.
Its also a good opportunity to give yourself a timely reminder to think about your own personal security : ensure your virus definitions are up-to-date and use good effective spyware.
Thanks folks for sticking with us and keeping us informed of what you find- we really do appreciate it!
