It seems ArenaNet have been listening to the players.
They have recently stated that they will be modifying the game, in order to allow all players to access the 'Elite Missions' in some-way, they said it may take a few months to implement but nethertheless this is excellent news!
But wait, there's more! Another community rant has been addressed: in the next few weeks ArenaNet will modify the game so that every character will be able to play through every mission in all the campaigns unlocked on your account.

This i agree, a game without gamers is.. well.. nothing.
Gamers ourselves must give constructive feedback, and not say things like "quest too hard" "make it easier" Quests HAVE to be challenging to be fun you know.
Neagtive things like "i dont wanna pay for this game cos' its too HARD that. is downright meaninglessness
These "elite missions" give the more better players the "Edge" of the game that they want.
Well, i'm glad that A-Net decided to listen, i just hope the requirements are not too unreasonable, or too "impossible"
Oh and i recieved a reply for ANet today about petition after i sent the e-mail informing them of it.

Basically they saw the petition and decided to take action.
It's not as much the elite mission as the principal of the whole thing. See we had something we didnt like, the entire guild wars community (not sure the devs even look at us since we are not an official fansite but i give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they do) spoke out against it, the devs heard it, the devs announced a change. This is a big step in a positive direction for the ANet-community relationship.

The elite missions getting changed so that it isn't quite so exclusive is a good thing, though. I know that I don't want to spend 2/3 of my gaming time just faction farming so I can get into an elite mission, after all.

If you check the listing, we are listed as a fansite but we are not an official or an elite fansite on the said listings. So although we are on there, we are listed as an ordinary fansite.

come on for those who have not been in urgoz.....the thing lags the 4 out of the 12 will err-7. Pugs will cry about how you cant even get past the first pull nor the -15 degen room so ur makeing this harder then it needs to be.
I honestly have not suffered from this "Lag epidemic" that everyone seems to be having. Sure, from time to time I may rubberband, but I know that its on MY end (having a poor signal etc.) I for one am very HAPPY with the news of the Elite mission fix, now I just want the other things we were promised (better trading, storage etc.) This is a good step foward for A-net to gain some trust back from their customers. I just want to see HOW they are going to fix this problem, and how quickly they actually get it done (I know they said a month or so, but I actually want it on time if not sooner). Good job to all who complained about the Elite mission :-D
lwfoster, i disagree there... Elite Missions are in fact the hardest and funnest content in the game. If it was just for the alliance, at least make the drops less good - people are getting perfect zodiacs thanks to TC :O
ok i see the thing bout the drops they can make em crap but the mission shoud still be only open for top allience as that is the point of them. if they operning them to all playeres we shoud get a titile or anouther mission or a special minipet or summat for ahving top allience
