This build is as yet an tested but in theory should work

This build uses 3 monks to farm SF or old UW, it may also work in other areas

The build basiclly consists of 1 55hp monk who smites like hell and 2 divine 'spellbreaker spammers' who keep the 55 alive.

The 55hp monk build is a standard solo monk build except it need not have so many self heals/prots and more smites. This is the Mo/W variant

protective spirit
balthazars spirit
Shield of Judgement {E}
Scourge Healing (for Bosses and Priests in SF)
holy strike
banish
Bonetti's Defence
Mending

Maxed out Smiting Prayers. Then share the attribute points on healing prayers and prot prayers. Whatever is left put on divine favour and/or tactics.

The usual rules apply: all 4 sup runes and then 1 more (whichever is cheapest), Tatoos are a MUST as you need all the energy you can get!

And of course use a -50hp Cesta fro the cites of ascalon quest and a rod or if u desire a +% enchantment sword/axe.

The Two Others should bring a build similar to these. 1 will be primarily healing and 1 will be prot/bonder. But bothe have spellbreaker/blessed aura.

Healer.
Spellbreaker (E)
Blessed Aura
Healing Breeze
Mending
Blessed signet
live vicariously
Essence bond
Rebirth

Attributes: Max Divine Favour, Max Healing Prayers the rest on Prot.
Use a weapon/staff with +%enchantment length... this is a must or spellbreaker will run out too quickly.
Armour: your preference, tatoos are good for +EN.
Runes: also your choice

Protector.
Spellbreaker (E)
Blessed Aura
Life Bond
Essence Bond
Succor
Blessed Signet
Rebirth

**free slot for own preference**if mesmer use archane echo for SB**

Attributes: again MAX devine favour, max prot prayers the rest is up to you.
AGAIN A STAFF WITH +%Enchantment length is so vital.
Again runes and armour are a preference.

Excecution

Pulling this off will take a great deal of care and attention.

Teamspeak or ventrillo is prefered but not necessary as i will show.

Leave the outpost everyone cast their enchantments as follows:

55: cast all your enchantments on yourself
Healer: Blessed aura on self, the rest on 55.
Prot: Same as healer.

Use blessed signets/ wait for energy regen.

approach enemies, 55 lures and casts prot spirit on himself and lures, as soon as he lures healer casts Spellbreaker on 55, 55 activates SoJ and smites like hell NOW HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART as soon as 55 notices Spellbreaker is flashing he pings it or says "Spellbreaker" on teamspeak, IMMEDIATELY prot casts Spellbreaker on 55. While 55 is smiting the other two use their skills on the 55. Rinse and repeat until 55 has killed the mob.

In SF 55 can use gear trick, in UW the other two must just step back.

And voila the 55 monk is invincible from all harm, it may take alot of organization but the rewards would be worth it.

This may also work in FoW or other areas.

Enjoy

A guide is MEANT to be a practiced and PROVEN method to doing something. This isn't a guide and doesn't have a place to be here.

Well with that said

This build won't work in Sorrows Furnace...
1. You have to be able to get there.
This would be tricky, since one person can't aggro the party would be dead fairly quickly.
2. There isn't enough damage being done to put much of a dent in the foes around you. Shamans, Priests and Bosses would keep most things alive in the area.
3. The purpose to farming SF is to kill bosses and get the green drops, there isn't enough damage here to kill a boss.

The thing you would be able to do is keep the gear holder alive without much difficulty, but killing off all the foes would be near to impossible.

  XMegidoX on 01/30/06 15:16

How about the non-55hp monks both be E/Me and take arcane echo, arcane mimicry and spellbreaker? that gives 3 spellbreakers each...

Sir Shaitain:
There is no need to be rude and say that my guide has no place to be here, as i said yes this method is untested and your points are valid, so me maybe someone can take this idea away and re-work it and make it better.

I accept criticism and looking at the comments here i can already see many ways to improve this build, but can't u criticize in a friendly way?

I realize now what i can do to improve this and a second version will be rewritten and will be submitted soon.

And I will test it first this time if it makes you happy

Urm if your a E/Me then your cant take spellbreaker as its a monk spell...

  Riotpoll on 01/30/06 15:43

perhaps he meant Mo/Me?

Tor Den Mektige on 01/30/06 16:04

not a bad setup, personall I have friends and we 2 man 55 monk UW ... havent tried 2 man FoW'ing yet or SF ... but I think I might try that :) thnx for the ideas though!

  BuddyLeeX on 01/30/06 17:13

this may work but i agree with the damage output, it is inefficient and it would take like 2-3 hours to do orozo farming for example.

  SirShaitan on 01/30/06 18:56

You might want to consider this as well for your second try..
The damage dealer shouldn't be the one thats holding the gear.
The 55 monk should concentrate on staying alive much like the UW two man builds. A 1 sec cast time can be interupted when 10 to 20 things happen to be hitting you at the time.. ie Stairway large mob.

Your Smite monk should be one of those standing back.
This would cause a problem with casting multiple SB's however.

I think I have a solution for that:
Arcane Mimicry
For 20 seconds, Arcane Mimicry becomes the elite spell from target other ally.

Hmmm interesting.

Both support monks would be Mo/Me's with the above skill, one would carry SB the other SOJ, so effectively they would both be carrying two elites. If that could be maintained that would be very effective, but I still dont see it doing a whole lot of damage, just constant damage.

omfg shaitan why r u so negative on every1s build i mean if u think ur so good make one urself. At least he spent effort to make it unlike u who just goes around and rips every1's build apart

Obviously a noob

Interesting...  KaiSwiftblade on 01/30/06 21:55

This is definitely a new concept, I've never seen something like this before. You could keep the 55 alive, and SB on him/her constantly, but the damage (as said above) seems to be the only negative. Just not enough of it.

Quit bashing Shaitan, he can give his opinion just like everyone else.

WOW SHAITAN  medium_eddie on 01/31/06 01:04

sry but i just hafta flame sir shaitan a lil hard right now. WTF DO U THINK U ARE. ive seen today uve bitched about all these guides and flamed people for lil mistakes. who gives if it hasnt been tested? its an idea and maybe he doesnt have the stuff to test it with and wants someone else to use the idea huh? why do u hafta be like this post ALL THE TIME? just calm down and try to have fun, it's the point of this whole FREAKING game. sry for the flame.

SirShaitan is right  tmakinen on 01/31/06 05:22

SirShaitan is right when he says that only 100% proven concepts should be posted as guides. A guide is, after all, supposed to be written by somebody who has done something, then giving the instructions to others so that they can do the same. The place for new build ideas like the one above is on the forums which also makes it much easier to discuss them. SirShaitan could have been a bit more polite, though. The 'no place to be here' part would have raised less ire if it was changed from a destructive to a constructive comment, like 'would have been more appropriate to post on the discussion forums instead of the guides section'. Take it cool, everybody B^)

  cswella on 01/31/06 08:42

Hey, not a bad concept, but I want to point something out. The Gear trick would not work because in order to hold it, you would have to get rid of the -50hp item.

Other than that, SirShaitan, please refrain from being overly abusive. Not everyone is as 100% correct as you apparently are.

  Janus Anobix on 02/01/06 01:30

I gotta agree with SirShaitan. The guide section is for 100% proven builds/techniques etc. When it is something that is just an idea, it belongs in the forum until there is ample proof that it works and is effective.

My bad your absolutely right, I could have phrased it differently.

I've made two guides. Both were tried and proven, go ahead and flame them if you so desire...

My Bonders Build for Sorrows Furnace

Beat your Elemental Doppleganger in 15 seconds

Since they are guides they do show how to do what is in the title and have been proven to be effective.

  Solicity on 02/08/06 06:33

Cool guide! think i must try this in the Uw some time. one thing i might add though, get the other 2 monks to whack baths spirit on you (if you can have more than one same enchant, not to sure about this one). that way, take healing breeze on the 55, and he/she gains energy, but no need for prot spirit :).

  Solicity on 02/08/06 06:33

shame you cant edit, lol. thats meant to be protective bond ^^
