Monk/Ele Solo build. Does so much damage!

Ok Folks,i knew monk/ele solo build had to be done because ele's do so much dmg!Well,i havent tested this for UW and doubt it works but it does infact work for griffons , minotaurs, sand drakes,and griffons in snake dance.Well here it goes,this is the basics(runes,armor ect)

ATTRIBUTES
healing =9
smiting=16
prot=11
earth=7-10
ARMOR
all 5 monk superior runes1 of each and 5th your choice
full ascetis tatoos from droks or citadel=47 energy

WEAPONS
since i dont use blessed aura you NEED a wand with 15%enchants or better.
you will need the -50hp off hand grim cesta.

SKILLS
Mending
Balthazar's Spirit
Essence Bond
Protective Spirit
Shield Of Judgement
Healing Breeze
WindBorn Speed

SKill Understanding
I use first of all aftershock because since symbol of judgement knocks foes down,aftershock will do an extra 50 dmg so you will be doing nearly 80-100 dmg witha fter shock alone plus quick recharge. Each griffon solo will take about 20 seconds^^.If you use windborn speed you wont have to deal with rockshot devourers which may distract your prot spirit and kill you.Energy isnt a problem since you have balth spirit+essence bond.

STRATEGY
Pre cast essence bond,balthazars spirit,abd mending.if you r being chased by a rockshot use windborn speed.pull in a group of as many griffons/minotaurs as you want and cast prot spirit and healing breeze while you run in.once you have the griffons/minotaurs aroung you cast Shield Of Judgement.Then KEEP CASTING AFTERSHOCK AND THE GRIFFONS are DEAD IN ABOUT 20 SECONDS!!!or less:) Also make sure prot spirit doesnt wear off.its ok if healing breeze wears off for about 4 seconds but to be safe keep it on.

Well folks.this build is rlly fun to have fun with it:)ill try to get a screen of me doing this build of griffons.

nice guide..but with the tats form droks or citadel, those are not necesary seeming you can get cheaper ones at yaks or ascalon

Too many 55 hp builds!!!!!!! It's so llllaaaaammmmmeeeee!!!!!!! Can't you people see, there are other ways to solo than 55 hp. Ever thought of using the land to your advantage? I mean, you can hide behind a wall, and nuke from there, no defence or healing required! What about +armor, or %evade/block/dodge? Good guide, but there are too many of these.

This build will work for solo runs in UW. However you have to go slow and be careful since you cant protect yourself from getting stripped by the nightmares. For the time it takes to use this build solo you can get in two runs with a standard two man UW team.

ah see,i can protect myself from nightmares.when a nnightmare pops up,he shatters my enchantments , since they r monk enchantments,it does almost 500 dmg to him therefore he kills himself,i use windborn speed to run away so i dont die,recast enchants and im fighting again.

very good guide, up till now ive been soloing desert griffons with my mo/w and recently changed my second prof. and i went from 10 minute runs to 3-4 minutes with the new build

^^sweet.I'm hoping this dmg dealing build with get around not just gameamp but around the whole gw society.once monks figure out you dont need bonneti's or sprint,they will switch to this build.

you know i have been thinkin for a while to switch to 55hp monk and now i thinki wil jsut to try this build, sems like easy fast money to me. one question tho. wat do u do when ur energy starts to run out i mean at 16 protection its -2 eneryg a u only have 11 so how do u kep your energy up? whiel using aftershock al that much it seems like youd be depleted then... well ud be dead

wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong,balthazar's spirit and essence bond give you more than enough energy.protection has absolutely nothing to do with energy.essence bond's effects r ,while you maintain this enchantment,whenever ally take physical damage,he gains 1 point of energy,thus you have 15 guys on you,15 energy a hit....it gets better,balthazars spirit is about 3 energy a hit,so thats a about ....alot more,trust me your energy is fine.

Ah, more solo farming builds making their way around the 'net. Any bets on how long it takes ANet to throw another round of "nerfs" for this stuff? Keep using these and spreading them around. It doesn't bother me a bit. However, I don't want to hear a single complaint when ANet changes things/makes skills useless/etc. as a result of it.

My monk is also a Mo/E and i have succesfuly been able to solo Trolls, Griffons, and hydra. so far i have only used Monk spells so far w/o sheild of judgment using Balths and symbol of wrath for damage as well as zealots fire.
With my setup i have not been able to take on a boss with any kind of healing spell, as the damage dealing is not fast and hard enough to overwealm them.

How does your build do against bosses ?

actually baltahzzars spirit only gives ONE energy since i sue it al the time on my warrior :( and if prot spirit prevents dmg u loose like what 3 energy? so that would be bad. right?

I believe your thinking of protective bond... you don't lose energy from protective spirit.

If you havent tried a 55hp build out, and have the cash - by all means make one! It may be nerve wracking at first, but it can be rather fun! Not to mention extremeley rewarding.

well, i just tried it out. it went fine! after a few runs i descided to swap out the windborn speed for ward against melee, i use this in the gaps between soj.

There is absolutely no such item available.
I'm just wondering if the author of this guide is just regergitating the information above from another source as he certainly could not have used a +% wand it doesn't exist.
It's either false information or a bad job of plagerizing.....

And before the arguments begin he did say :

So he did mean to say wand and not staff.

It's not new, Mo/E used to farm the UW after the Prot Bond/Boon 105hp got nerfed, then they nerfed the AoE, granted they primarily focused on fire magic...but the SoJ/Aftershock is a good idea...

But advertising your, or someone elses build will just see it getting nerfed...

I have done this build before (had the same thoughts you had).

I find that SOJ with 50% longer enchant is faster. I don't know what you set you earth damage on, but at lvevl 9 with 10 seconds recharge for aftershock it isn't worth blessed aura and 20% longer enchant. You will kill all griffons before SOJ finishes 1 turn. Not to mention higher divine means more heal.

If you want to speed up killing casters like hydras, go monk mesmer and bring sympathetic visage. They will attack only (no casting) after you drain their energy. You can also go monk mesmer in UW cause SV drains adrenaline also so attaxia can't interupt you. Just bring leech signet to interupt dying nightmares. Overall, 2 man is better for UW.

I run about the same build stat wise, but instead of trying to get SoJ and Aftershock to do all the damage, I bring Zealots Fire as well.

Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Signet of Devotion
Shield of Judgement
Aftershock
Zealots Fire
Balth Spirit
Mending

Pretty much says it all, with a 19% longer enchants your spells last nice and long by themselves, and by staggering HB and PS, you do not scare away your precious griffons. Occasionally, you'll cast SoJ a little quick and scare them, but they come right back no biggie. Its very nice when SoJ wears off two be able to still do AoE damage while it recharges. Try it, sure sped up my farming.
