Ok this is my first guide so... let see how this goes.
I think I am a good protection monk, because I do tell the team what to do allot of the time (not a guy to sit back and loose which I hate to do).
The main thing I tell my team is NOT to run off, how can you heal or help a member of your team at the other end of the map, it can't be done, if this happens your screwed because you can't leave the other two players or there dead to, so you have to help them more because 2 is better than 1, but we all knew that.
The other thing I tell them to do is to help me, I am not a monk that runs away from a warrior, as it’s easier to heal me than someone else, but if its 2 on me and my team is chasing 1 other warrior then what’s a guy to think? Best thing other people can do is help you soooo tell them!
Protection
With this build, as soon as your first character takes damage use “Aegis” straight away this will basically stop any damage from all of your team until it runs out. Next part it gets hard unless Aegis has come back straight away, but if not you shouldn’t try to cast anything until you know is taking the most damage and then cast either “Shielding Hands” or “Protective Spirit”. Then put “Guardian” on people’s help that reaches 3 quarters and “Reversal of Fortune” on peoples health that gets to half or lower, “Mend Ailment” on people with conditions and I normally keep smite hex to sue to help me but you may want to use it on your team. “Energy Drain” is your energy management skill, you should never let your energy reach less than 10, so make sure you cast on the enemy you think will have a lot of energy. Instead of “Energy Drain” you can use “Guild Wars: Skills: Mantra of Recall” or if your another profession something that suits you i.e. “Guild Wars: Skills: Offering of Blood”.

Guild Wars: Skills: Smite Hex
Guild Wars: Skills: Energy Drain
I use this Build mainly in HoH as I keep heal monks alive and they keep the team alive, I can also use it in normal PvP but it is hard as your not really healing your tem, I also can use this build...
Bonder
A bonder monk’s job is to reduce the amount of damage that your team takes by casting enchantments and skills. Casting “Life bond” on the other players that are most likely to take damage (in PvP the monks and eles) and “Balthazar’s Spirit” on your self, as this is one of your energy management skills as what ever damage you take even 0 you will get 1 energy so its worth having. But if you want to put “Life bond” on 4 people and “Balthazar’s Spirit” on yourself then instead of taking “Energy Drain” take “Guild Wars: Skills: Peace and Harmony” this elite skill gives plus one energy regeneration, so you can have all the enchantments you want! “Aegis” and “Protective Spirit” are skills that also reduce the amount of damage takes, I always like to have “Mend Ailment” and “Smite Hex” but you may choose to take “Shielding Hands” and a Resurrect skill.

Like I said this Build can also be used in HoH or in SF farming and if you swap Protection Spirit with Reversal of Fortune you could use it in normal PvP but it may not work.
Protect Healer
A Protect Healer’s job is to reduce protect and heal! This monk build uses four protection skills and only two healing skills, but I have found this build very effective in normal 4vs 4 PvP. I use “Reversal of Fortune” has my main skill to heal as it only cost 5 energy and use “Heal Other” when your team mates health reaches half. “Healing Touch” is used on yourself.

These are my monks builds I hope I helped someone leave a comment on want you think, any offers on to make them better are welcome.
