Seventy-Seven’s Desert Collector Guide
How many times have you wanted that special collector item but not know where to find the materials?
In my personal option The desert collector items are some of the best in the game and also some of the easiest to collect. In this guide I hope to make finding the items a bit easier. I use a Warrior/Monk solo runs to gain these items.
1. Bleached Carapaces, Rockshots are all over you can find them easily in Diviner’s Ascent and Prophet’s Path.
2. Bleached Shells, One of the most expensive collector materials in the game, they only drop from sand worms which can be a pain to kill. And sometimes hard to find alone. Loading up on a run skill, run out of Augury Rock into Skyward reach and head south though the exit to Vulture Drifts. The red X marks a spot of a lone sand worm, the exit to the east leads to The Arid Sea, use the exit to “reset” the map and return to the same worm, I have gotten a few shells this way.
Another good spot is the beginning of the Dunes of Despair mission 2 sand worms sit near the beginning waiting to be killed but you do have go though some losarues to get them.
3. Desecrated Hydra Claws, Hydras are pretty easy to find. Head north out of Augury Rock into Skyward reach. Bring a distracting shot.
4. Dune Burrower Jaws The easiest place to find these is the beginning of the Elona reach mission, 7 total here and fairly easy to kill.
5. Encrusted Lodestones, nobody likes sand elementals it can be really hard for a warrior/monk to kill alone. There are some just outside of Heroes’ Audience. Encrusted Lodestones can also can be found in The Dragon’s Lair.
6. Forgotten Seals, Just outside of Dunes of Despair in Vulture Drifts you can find the enchanted swords, bows, and hammers. Bring along a mend condition/alignment to remove blind.
7. Iridescent Griffon Wings. Head out of Augury Rock into Prophet’s Path and then due south you’ll find bunches of griffons there.
8. Jade Mandibles, Head out of Amnoon Oasis there are always some Jade Scarabs sitting around there.
9. Losaru Manes. Most people will try to farm these outside of Destiny’s Gorge in the Skyward Reach, This the hard way, you have rangers to interrupt, mesmers to shut you down and protectors healing. A much easier spot is the beginning of the Dunes of despair mission. Grab a bleached shell or two while there.
10. Massive Jawbones. Leave Destiny’s Gorge into the Scar East then south you run into several groups of these guys (the red X’s are sand giants, blue X is a sand worm).
11. Minotaur Horns, just outside of Augury Rock in Prophet’s Path you can find some Minotaur. I find easier to just to go into the Elona reach mission and clear out the beginning collecting dune burrower jaws at the same time.
12. Shriveled Eyes, can be found south of Seeker’s Passage in the Salt Flats, I find it easier to fight one on one in the north eastern part of Prophet’s Path.
13. Spiny Seeds, just outside of Heroes’ Audience head east one or two will pop out , just run back to Heroes’ Audience to reset the map. Beware of the jade scarabs.
14. Topaz Crests, outside of Elona Reach are sand drakes. Pretty easy to find and easier to kill.
