Some may know this method of farming Sorrow's Furnace, others have never even bothored going to Sorrows's Furnace.
I'm not going to explain why it is worth too go to Sorrows's Furnace, at first I admit; it was kind've an anti-climax. I guess once again I had to high expectations. But once I figured out this way of farming, I concidered myself lucky to have come across that little - somewhat desolate - town, we like to call Deldrimor War Camp.
If you want to make the big cash, and you don't mind being patient for it, and having a good time in between I suggest you read this guide thorougly!
'The Team':
5 Man??!! For farming Final Assault!!?? "That's Madness!!", exclaimed my friend in disbelief when I told him off this new method of getting ritch.
However, it can be done, and these are the vital players for it:
1) A Divine Healer/Healer whatever gets the job done of keeping 4 players alive, later it will only be one player but I'll explain that better in 'The Tactic'
2) The so called - Bonder: Another Monk that uses Life Bond, Life Barrier, Life Attunement and other powerfull enchantments to reduce damage and improve healing for other players, and keeps his energy high with skills like Balthazars Spirit and Blessed Signet.
3) The so called - UltraTank: A warrior that does not have any attack skills, and uses or tactics, or smitting prayers. I strongly suggest if he has it, he take OR healing hands, OR Shields of Judgment. If he doesn't have this, he needs to take Bonetti's Defense, Balthazars Spirit, Shields Up, Watch Yourself and related skills.
4) An Echo Nuker: A nuker that has OR Echo Elite - so he can do two spells immediately after eachother [the less known, but perhaps even more effective Elite Skill: Glyph of Renewal will do too] OR Elemental Attunement Elite and Arcane Echo to do double nuking and keep energy spendage at lowest.
5) Another Echo Nuker/ Or - since reasent update taken more and more - The Minion Master: Once this guy gets on a roll, he does more damage then 4 Echo Nukers.
'The Tactic':
So, you have your party, it's all looking good. Ask your team: 'Who has the quest Final Assault uncompleted and still in quest Log?' Only one person has to have it. Make sure he does. Or you've done all the effort for nothing. Once you get outside, make the guy with the FA quest take the two dwarves, the one that gives you the Explosive Kegs, and some other guy.
The bonder should use his bonds on everyone for now, and the healer will have a rough job here. You need to get from Grenths Footprint to Sorrow's Furnace, this won't be that hard. If you watch patrols and target Gnashers - Heretics - Rangers - Carvers. Mind the patrols and make sure the warrior agro's first.
Next step: you're in Sorrow's Furnace, or because off you activated the quest, you're in Final Assault. These are two diffirent things: Sorrow's Furnace has random bosses at random locations, Final Assault always has pretty mutch the same bosses, at the same locations.
DONT TAKE THE QUEST IN HERE. Just continue and you'll see the Keg guy follows. Get the warrior to take a keg and agro as mutch groups as possible together. [after the bonder has thorougly bonded him naturally] Usually only the warrior will get attacked if he agro's and he carries keg. If he uses Shield Of Judgement, he too will do alot of dmg. But most dmg will come from Nuker and Minions.
The healers job is easier here: Keep warrior alive, healing hands is the best skill for the job.
Now you should first do this with a guy that knows his way in the FA. After a while you'll know the path too. You'll encounter bosses like Tanzit Razorstone [drops Razorstone worth 100k] Rago Kinderlock [drops Rago's Flame Staff, also 100k] but also less known bosses like Malinol and a monk and mesmer boss. Gardock I believe. Because you're only with 6 you have - naturally - more chance of getting a green. There are aproximately 6 bosses inside FA, always same locations, bosses vary sometimes. And every run, at least one person will get a green. It totally depends on luck I think, because I farmed with a monk who got Razorstone, Rago's flame staff, Malinols Shield and two Miners Keys with Gold Max Sundering Items in one run... it killed me.
Have Fun Farming Final Assault!! Don't be surprised if it gets NERFED SOON!!
