The Flareway Mesmer - Me/E PvP Ownage!

Flareway - the succesor of Iway? Perhaps... but not nearly as lame. It's really a beautyfull build, and I will try to explain it to the people that don't know it as good as possible. Also look at the video section, I'll post a video of Flareway In Action.

Me/E
Attributes:
Fast Casting: Maxed
Fire Magic: Maxed

Runes:
Rune of Minor Fast Casting
Rune of Minor Fire Magic
Rune of Superior Vigor

Skills:
[With a * are the basic setup skills]
-Flare*
-Fireball*
-Fire Attunement*
-Elemental Attunement* [Elite]
-Meteor/Lava Font
-Shatter Enchantment/Other Enchantment Removal Spell
-Ressurection Signet*

Team:
-4 Me/E with Meteor
-4 Me/E with Lava Font

Strategy:
Cast Fire and Elemental Attunement straight before you rush in.
You stick together very close, unless the other team does lots of AoE spells. The one's with Lava Font rush in first, they use Lava Font and call target, everyone spams Flare on the target switched by Meteor and Fireball (needed to kill monks fast)
If anyone dies you ressurect as fast as you can.
Once again, following target is vital. There is no heal power, so you only win by killing them first and ressurecting your fallen.

You're just rolling out the build guides today eh?

I think it's great build for a more advanced player, but TycooN's right, you can't put a minor fire rune on a mesmer.

yea, you can't put a fire rune on a mesmer, but at attribute lvl 12 those skills do quite a bit of dmg. the dmg output of that build is crazy. i love the sycronized lava front, that was some pure ownage. only problem i c is that its pretty easy to develop a counter build,(backfire, diversion, would be major problems.

Mesmers ... fragile :) like all degenerate builds this is very easy to counter. Besides, I can't see the value of lava font in PvP where people should be bright enough to step out of DoT AoEs. If you want to create a fire based equivalent of chain lightning teams then your mesmers should be dumping flame bursts in unison AND you should use Mantra of Recovery(E) and Channeling with the on-your-face part of the team.

Yea, I realise it's a hard build. I'll post a video of it in action, so you can see how effictive it is. Sorry about that Minor Fire mistake. What I meant was: don't get your health down too mutch. Use minors.

Not really, it's hilarious at start and still fun after a while. It will never be one of those builds like IWAY, where 100 people are looking for a party at once, it will always be like a friends or guild build. You can make nice variety's on it too. Using a Ward spammer Me/E or Monks, but 8 Me/E spamming flare... still the nicest. The feeling when you're spamming lava front 2x every 4 seconds with 8 at the same time, and the faction that keeps popping up on ur screen while you do this, while you own those IWAY guys... that rocks man!

if everyone were to target the same person, it would be AROUND 20 damage x 8

160 damage just from that
and sence it has no recharge time, it goes in order

and sence it hits 40 damage on most people = ownage :)

oh and, nice ut2k4 sounds ><

This is a personal bias but, ELEMENTALISTS BLOW! You have no efficient way of healing yourself, and your staying close? Are you nuts? You're just asking to get trapped, as for reviving fallen team members who will have little to no armor and die vary fast, the amount of interrupt builds that are out there astounds me, you may never be able to get a res signet off thus losing team members rapidly. You are completely SPAMMING your spells, if you go up against another mesmer and get backfired all I have to say is R.I.P.and hevan forbid you even bring a self heal all the other team would have to do is poison you all a couple times and avoid your attacks which are ease as hell to avoid. Had you come up against a smart team with a good ranger you'd be Fuxored. Barbed trap would ruin you because you would all be in a group and you would all be crippled and bleeding with no healing on you. I havn't watched the video yet but it's downloading; I'm sure I will have additional comments later on like, you'll run out of energy faster than a rocket burns fuel.

I use Rodgorts mark. It's 25 energy but they burn during 13 secs.

But I find very difficult to find Flareway teams!!!

well I play in Europe... but there arent either in international... if u could tell me ur names I'd be very hapy to play with you I'd like to play with one Flareway team

omg that a nice build :D I like the idea to spam lava font lol but if you get it by maelstrom or chaos storm you can get trouble because your all close as we could see in the video someone get the nice idea to cast maelstrom but it was too late if he cast it quickly maybe he could get you down ...

im downloading the video right now. all i have to say before i even see the video is..choking gas=anal rape since you guys are right next to each other. Also, when you spam your spells on someone what if they hide behind a wall?
Oh and I've seen a build like this before except they used stoning. It was pretty shitty since all the monk had to do was seed and the prot put on prot spirit. There are a lot of counters to your build, with the health degen being part of it.
I'l post more comments after I see the movie.

aren't there counters to any build? put a mesmer team up against iway, let's see how long they last against empathy and SS. i've been doing flareway for some time now and it just owns, you guys probably didn't try it out yourself. the lava font is new to me though, i usre mark for burning, but thats because i dont do flareway in tombs.

Well, what weapon is ideal for this build? I actually was thinking about doing this but didn't know how the skillset and gear would be like. Now I have a great start.

I'm downloading the movie atm, so I didn't see the real use of it but I just got with these ideas:

Wouldn't it be smart to get a little bit of fast casting into energy storage? Especialy with the 25 energy cost of
meteor shower (+ exhaustion) you prob run out of energy fast isn't it?

Why don't you put something like "Aura of Restoration" in stead of and enchantment removal spell?

Ok I've seen the movie and I can only advise you 1 more thing: Cast elemental attunement and fire attunement again if they are lost. I've seen you run out of energy a few times =]
Anyway I would like to try this sometime with my guild [ToD]

Omg! Why the hell you said "Flareway the successor of Iway" Do you have an idea of what Iway is..?? It has nothing in common with this build and Iway its "I will avenge you" flareway... uh.. its nothing.

Well the Idea is good, but I think the exacution was a bit off, the build would probly be better off as a E/Me and using Ethereal Burdon and Inmolate with Burning Gaze, rather than Flair, Fire Ball, and Res sig(although in some PvP you might need rez sig, it can be switched out.)
So ya thats my ideas for this build, and I doubt that it will be able to take out IWAY in a 4 vs 4 match...srry
