Beating the Doppleganger with a Monk:
-------------------------------------
When I finished the 3 missions in the Crystal Dessert, I was delighted I could finally kill myself, or at least something that would use the same skills I equiped.
Not knowing what skills I had to equip, I just entered with my basic healing skills and a max damage staff. But what I did not expect was the doppleganger equiped with a bow and when you come near him an axe. I kept healing my self for 10 min hoping that the mission would end if I was still alive.
But this did not happen.
When I re-entered Augury Rock, I asked some advice from Guild Members. They told me to use Smiting prayers.
I bought myself a major smiting rune and took the following skills:
*Balthazar's Aura
*Symbol of Wrath
*Zealots Fire
*Banish
*Bane Signet
*Orison of healing
*Scourge Healing
I used attributes in smiting only: 12+2(major rune).
After I skipped the cinematic I casted Scourge Healing, since the Doppleganger could use orison of healing (20 health) but get 60 damage (80 dam-20 healing) from Scourge healing instead.
After I casted Scourge healing I just ran at him and used Balthazar's Aura and Symbol of Wrath and after I casted these I looked at his health which was suprisingly low. He died a few seconds later.
I never had to use my other skills.
