Steam Rolling the Bison Tournament, the mindless Everdream Way *wink*
Best part about this is you need absolutely no Title Track Skills and any profession can do it, not just confined to E/Me’s… Pokes Stan a bit… *Grin* All you need to be is a Ritualist Primary or Secondary.
Rt/X or X/RT, doesn’t matter.
For both Builds, cast all Spirits in the Doorway before heading in, by doing this you’ll be able to get all the spirits up without interruption. After you have all of them cast, move a ahead a bit to initiate the start of the fight. Exception: Norgu will run ahead and cast Backfire on you, that’s OK as binding rituals aren’t affected by Backfire, as spirits go up Norgu will get owned before you can cast Painful Bond. Zho is also easy, both these builds are Cake-Walks.
Wanderlust Build Skills and Attributes:
Channeling 12
Communing 12
Any Profession can run this, even a Warrior with a lot of base energy as recasting doesn’t need to ever happen, even in the final round. Having 45-50 Base Energy is all you need. Cast 1-5 in order.
1. Wanderlust (Elite) inflicts Knock Downs on stationary enemies.
2. Bloodsong hurts enemies, causes Painful Bond to kill faster.
3. Pain causes as its name implies, again adds to Painful Bond.
4. Anguish like Pain and Bloodsong.
5. Shadowsong is Key as it causes blindness which makes Magni useless.
6. Essence Strike is used as energy management, though it’s not needed, not even for the final round but does speed up death a bit.
7. Spirit Burn is low energy and causes burning and fire is good!
8. Painful Bond just really, really messes up enemies, to be cast on the attacking enemy when they get close enough to the spirits.
This is one Volley, he's not even reached me yet and is already 1/3 dead and blind.
Pretty simple, you can even clump all the spirits together, won’t matter. Only precautions are the enemies that use AoE like Little Thom, Cynn and Argo. For them, run ahead a bit and catch their attention over to you, let them waste the AoE’s on you leaving your spirit cluster intact.
All enemies die in 3 Volley’s… about 12 seconds, Bison dies in about 20 seconds, he’s got more Health. Total Time per map is the Count-Down, Casting Time, Killing Time, and End-Round Countdown, so 35-45 seconds, 50-60 seconds for Bison. Total Tournament is done in about 5 minutes.
Fighting Bison:
Pretty simple, he’s got one skill that could cause you to die and that’s Purge Signet. Wait for Shadowsong to initially blind him. He’ll stop and use Purge Signet, sometimes he gets it off in time, and sometimes he’s Knocked Down! Either way, wait until he’s cast Purge Signet, then use Painful Bond on him. Then watch and visit in Guild Chat as you watch him get reacquainted with the snowy dirt over and swing uselessly at you or the cluster.
Build Two: RT Lord with Dissonance. (You need to be an Ritualist for this one)
Standard Pillbox build I’ve been using variations of ever since Ritualist’s were around.
Attributes and Skills:
Channeling 13 (Head Piece + Minor Rune needed)
Communing 11 (Minor Rune)
Spawning Power 11 (Minor Rune)
I use a Major Channeling Rune because I like my 555 Health, it doesn’t matter.
1. Ritual Lord (Elite) makes Spirits recharge faster in case something goes wrong.
2. Boon of Creation, used for energy management.
3. Bloodsong hurts enemies, causes Painful Bond to kill faster.
4. Pain causes as its name implies, again adds to Painful Bond.
5. Anguish like Pain and Bloodsong.
6. Shadowsong is Key as it causes blindness which makes Magni useless.
7. Dissonance interrupts silly casters and makes killing faster with Painful Bond
8. Painful Bond serves the same purpose in this build.
Note: Wanderlust can sub Ritual Lord if you’re confident that you won’t need to recast, the Ritual Lord build is a guaranteed sure thing pending you know how to take aggro of the AoE enemies, but even if your Spirit Cluster is wiped out, running the Ritual Lord will allow you to possibly recover.
As stated before, when up against enemies that use AoE, run towards them, take a bit of damage, then drag them back to the Spirit Cluster, you’ll be fine and they’ll be dead.
When using Wanderlust instead of Ritual Lord the speed of death is just great!
Note: Cast Boon of Creation first, then Ritual Lord. Cast all Spirits in the Doorway.
That’s about it, pretty simple and mindless.
1. Cast 4-6 Spirits in Doorway
2. Move up a bit, take proper aggro
3. Cast Painful Bond when the time is right
4. Win Tokens, get crown, sell Tokens.
Final Notes:
Being a Ritualist Primary is faster, but not by much, maybe a minute total over the whole tournament.
Enjoy crowning your Chars, if that’s your thing!
