Black Curtain: Solo RT VWK Pillow Stuffer
This is a normal mode farm that’s incredibly easy and farms several ‘worth while’ materials that can really make getting armor or money easier.
3 Key Materials Farmed:
Plant Fibers: Used to craft Damask, Damask = Money
Scales: Used in many sets of armor, high trader price = money
Feathers: Used in many sets of armor, insane trader price = more money
Other Popular Materials from Salvaged Items:
Bones, Cloth, Tanned Hides, Wood Planks, Glittering Dust and Iron Ingots.
Farm generates about 4-5k an hour in just coins.
Key Monsters:
Reed Stalkers: Drops Plant Fibers & Abnormal Seeds (Plant Fibers)
Caromi Tengu Elite: Drops Feathers & Scalps (feathers)
Bog Scale Blighters: Drops Bog Scales (scales)
Skill Template: Standard VWK RT Build. Rt/Me
Read Solo Ritualist, How To for more detail on skills and methods.
1. Vengful Was Khanhei 2. Arcane Echo 3. Soothing Memories (won’t need) 4. Vengeful Weapon 5. Channeling 6. Sympathetic Visage 7. Ancestor’s Visage 8. Physical Resistance
Attributes:
Restoration: 16 (Superior Rune Required)
Illusion: 10 (or 9)
Inspiration: 8 (or 9)
Favored Weapons / Armor:
Totem Axe w/ Offhand.
Max Armor, no additional runes needed for this run.
Basic Vigor Rune Suggested, but also not needed.
The Run:
Because this is being done in Normal Mode, you’ll be farming Level 17 monsters, they don’t do a lot of damage and a lot of mistakes can happen without being punished by death. Basically what I’m saying is beginner Ritualist players that have prophesies can do this run.
Start out by taking out the first group of Reed Stalkers, then turn west and start your South-West run. You can basically go anywhere in Black Curtain with this build and be safe, even taking down the tree monsters and the monk boss'.
Strafe back and forth while heading south to pick up the pop up mobs of Reed Stalkers, they are often accompanied by Spined Aloe (Monks) which heal and are sometimes a real difficulty to wipe if there are more than 3 in a small area. I usually don’t waste my time with them.
Positioning Management = Wherever mobs are.
Energy Management = None Issue.
Health Management = Common Sense.
Basically, follow the map provided:
Because of different spawns you might need to go a bit more one way or the other to catch all of the mobs, it’s not a big time devourer.
I like to end the run at the last “pad” of Reed Stalkers. This should take 10 minutes.
Cautions:
Bog Skales will strip key enchantments if you’re inexperienced. Be sure to group them, quickly cast Arcane Echo, then immediately VWK. If there’s a massive group of them on you, feel free to cast a visage as it will not be stripped.
Other Caution: watch your health! Skales use Putrid Explosion on their fallen comrades and if there’s 12 dead ones on the ground and you pick up aggro of another 6, they’ll use Putrid and if you’re low on health you might die. This shouldn’t happen though; I really needed to play badly for that to occur.
In Ending:
Follow the map provided and you’ll be fine, if you want to explore and make your own run then that’s awesome!
Follow this link: Here to see why Rt Farming is good, even in NM.
I can currently afford to buy another set of FoW at the rare material trader basically because of this build and it's different variations, but i want to hit that 1mil mark again before i do that, which will be soon ;)
Farming Materials and selling them is huge. See Trading Guide for more details, though a bit out of date in pricing, the theory is still the same.
Enjoy! Again, this is really, really, really easy and farms some nice materials worth some scratch, with some practice you'll be grabbing massive mobs and really speeding it up and getting into that set of armor or weapon you've been wanting!
