This is a PvP build that I feel will shine brightest in an organized setting; unfortunately all of my test data was in RA. But I think that if it can succeed amongst unorganized strangers, then if you are actually working together it could be great. So I’m going to say this is a team build, but whatever the rest of the team is, is up to you.
The build focuses on using your Elite, Rage of the Ntouka, to fully charge your adrenal skills before the fight even starts, this includes the pivotal skill Anthem of Envy, which if used correctly can greatly increase the effects of a spike. It also utilizes the IAS Flail and the Armor Penetration of Strength to kick out some great DPS. Remedy signet and supply you with some survivability and you can inflict devastating conditions like Deep wound and Burning.
Skills:
Equipment:
*note Major Strength rune is required for 13, which is the breaking point for 6 adren.
Templates:
Skills: OQkjEplsJOA2LMf1CHkVwxbBAA
Equipment: Pk5RRP7nC/YIqGXbqGhWPD1OjWPJLpimOFSfgWPDrvhWP9E
How to Use:
-Use Rage of Ntouka to fully charge bar before fight even begins. Note that Rage of Ntouka has a 10 second cool down time before it won’t effect you.
-You keep adrenaline for 20 seconds without making a hit so you will have plenty of time to hang on to your adrenaline. Wait until right before the spike to use Anthem of envy (duration of 10 seconds). You can immediately follow it with Vicious attack, or hit once and follow with Burning Spear. Note: AoE only effects attack skills.
- Try and keep Flail at all time, the 33% IAS will greatly add to your DPS and allow you to maintain high adrenal levels. The 33% speed slow down, won’t really affect you because of your ranged capabilities. (sorry no cancel stance for the cry babies)
-This should be pretty obvious but ill talk about it anyways. Combine Go For The Eyes and Vicious attack to do nice damage and inflict a deep wound. GftE activates literally immediately and effects your next attack, not attack skill. So you have to be careful to not use it before Vicious Attack. A trick I use is to actually click Vicious attack first, and while you are going through the attack animations THEN click Go for the Eyes. Hope that helps with timing.
-Ok, boom. That’s probably as big damage as you’ll get from a 1 handed weapon. I’ve hit for over 110 before. If I can do a little math for you here, it’d like to grind out your best possible hit.
27 x 1.35 x √2 = ~51
+18
+21
=~91
+33% Armor Penetration (60x.67=40.2AL)
91x1.4 = ~127.5
So technically I figure you can hit for 128 maximum. If you didn’t follow that. Pretty good for a 1 handed ranged weapon.
Closing notes:
Use Remedy signet to remove conditions like blind and weakness immediately. It free and only has a 1 sec activation, with 4 second recharge. Don’t be a jerk you can remove them pretty fast. Crippling, which is normally a very threatening condition can be pretty much ignored since you shouldn’t be moving much anyways.
Also, don’t be afraid to use Rage of the Ntouka mid fight to immediately recharge you skills, this can help you inflict a MASSIVE and sustained spike.
Use Anthem of Envy every time your target is above 50%
It won’t even trigger if they aren’t above 50%, so you can preemptively cast it if you suspect they will be healed.
Use your rez sig too jerk….
MUCH LOVE FROM
FUTUREMAN!
