Critical Temple Sin
Hey all,
After remaking my assassin I wanted to give him a nice build with a high critical hit rate. After some testing and doing some high-end area's(FoW/dungeons) with this build I came to the conclusion that this is a build I want to share with you all :)
This is my first guide so comments are welcome.
The Skills & Attributes:
If you don't got Critical Agility, it's not a real problem but faster attacking will help you in the fight so try to get an attack speed increasing skill.
You don't have to get all the armor upgrades the same as I have but some extra energy is usefull because you use some skills which require pretty much energy. Also you don't have to use exactly the same daggers but 15%(while enchanted) is usefull because you use 2 enchants and zealous is nice for some energy regain.
Why these skills+armor upgrades?:
Critical Eye: This skill is easy to keep up and can't be removed(only if you die). Critical Eye will raise your critical hit chance with 16% and with about 22% from dagger mastery and 1% for each critical strike attribute(so another 16%), this will make a total of 54% to land a critical hit.
Unsuspecting Strike: This is a great skill for opening your attack chain. This skill does great damage if used on a target with his health above 90%. Also u can go on with the attack combo because its a lead attack.
Fox Fangs:This skill will also deal some good damage and another great thing: It can't be blocked! :). After this you use a dual attack because this is an off-hand attack.
Temple Strike:This is good to shut down both casters and melee proffesions because of the daze and blind condition it gives. It has a pretty long recharge time(20 seconds) so use this on the most annoying enemy in the group. After this you use a dual attack because this is an off-hand attack.
Twisting Fangs:In combination with Temple Strike: heavy condition pressure on the target and this skill will also deal some nice damage.
Death Blossom:Usefull when standing in a huge group. This skill will hit more foes at once, looks like and AoE skill.
Critical Defenses:This is to protect yourself. 10 seconds duration looks short but it will refresh every critical strike so it will be up almost always. It's an enchant so it can be removed by foes.
Critical Agility:This will speed up your attacks and it will, just like critical defenses, be up almost always. It also gives a armor bonus which is usefull.
Armor Upgrades:
I choose for some energy upgrade because there are some skills in the build which require pretty much energy. Also armor upgrades for the few times you will be hit.
Superior runes to get the attributes higher for more damage and critical hit rate and some extra health is never wrong imo :).
Usage:
This build is pretty easy to use. Make sure you always got Critical Eye on you for the extra crits. Before you start to fight, so when you are about 5 seconds away from battle, use Critical Defenses so you won't be hit very often by melee foes and use Critical Agility to speed up your attacks and some more armor. Now you can pick a target. You can pick the annoying warrior who is trying to kill your monks or kill one of the spellcasters: it's all your choice.
When you got a target, start your attack chain with Unsuspecting strike for a nice amount of damage. Now you can choose between Fox Fangs and Temple Strike. If your target is a hard hitter or an annoying spellcaster, you can use Temple Strike and make the target useless for about 11 seconds. If the target isn't that kind of bit problem, you can better use Fox Fangs for damage.
Now use, or Twisting Fangs or Death Blossom. Twisting Fangs is really usefull to put some more conditions on the target and the deep wound effect will get your target down pretty quick. Death Blossom is great in a bigger group of opponents because it hits more then 1 target.
Your target will or dead, or almost dead if it isn't a boss with high hp or when he gets healed. You can just hit sometimes without using skills or finish the target with another Unsuspecting Strike.
When the target is dead, you can pick your next target and start again with the attack chain.
And remember, keep up Critical Eye and check if your enchantments are still on while fighting :)
some good points:
- you deal a lot of damage
- good energy management
- High crit rate
- 75% Block
- attack speed increase
some bad points:
- any anti-melee stuff
- enchantment removal
- Spells will still hit hard
Hitting suits of armor with unsuspecting strike and the total damage in 3 minutes at master of damage
