PvE Assassin
An PvE build for assassin I have been using awhile since I decieded to make my own build
Professions:
Assassin/*
Attributes:
- I use these attributes because I want my Dagger Mastery high, for more crit chance and more effective skill usage, and I want 13 in Critical hits because it is the break-point for 3 energy per critical hit.
Armor and Weapons:
- Note that the attunement and radiant is my own preferance, I enjoy having alot of energy. I have also tried this with Survivor Insignia and Nightstalker's Insignia, so I recommend any of these 3.
Imo you will have decent defense so Im fine with the Radiants.
Also if you cannot afford an Superior Vigor which tends to cost a bit of money, then just buy the most expensive you can afford.
- I use the Ungues of the Forgotten because it has the mods I find most effective.
I would say try to recreate this weapon or buy the green.
It makes energy easy to manage and it gives you some extra health.
Instead of 15^50 you could aswell use 15% While enchanted modification.
Do not forget to customize your daggers, we want that +20% damage! :)
Skills:
Palm Strike[Elite]
- Target touched foe takes 75 damage. This skill counts as an off-hand attack.
- 5 Energy
- 3/4 Cast time
- 10 Seconds Recharge time
Horns of the Ox
- Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, Horns of the Ox strikes for +30 damage. If struck foe is not adjacent to any allies, that foe is knocked down.
- 5 Energy
- 12 Seconds Recharge time
Falling Spider
- Must strike a knocked-down foe. If it hits, Falling Spider strikes for +35 damage and target foe is Poisoned for 20 seconds.
- 5 Energy
- 8 Seconds Recharge time
Twisting Fangs
- Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, Twisting Fangs strikes for +20 damage and struck foe suffers from Bleeding and Deep Wound for 20 seconds.
- 10 Energy
- 15 Seconds Recharge time
Malicious Strike
- If this attack hits a foe suffering from a Condition, you deal +27 damage and this attack results in a critical hit.
- 5 Energy
- 6 Seconds Recharge time
Critical Agility
- For 4 seconds and 1 second for each rank of Critical Strikes, you attack 33% faster and gain +10...22 armor. This Skill reapplies itself every time you land a critical hit.
- 5 Energy
- 1 Second cast time
- 30 Seconds Recharge time
Feigned Neutrality
- For 7 seconds, you have +7 Health regeneration and +80 armor. This Enchantment ends if you successfully hit with an attack or use a Skill.
- 5 Energy
- 1/4 Second cast time
- 25 Seconds Recharge time
Resurrection Signet
- Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. This signet only recharges when you gain a Morale Boost.
- 3 Second cast time
Note that this skill can be replaced by ressurection skill of your choice.
Usage:
- Locate a target. As you know the less armor the target has, the easier to kill. (In most cases.)
- Run up to your target, and cast Critical Agility
- Now unleash your combo, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- If target is not dead, you can either wait for the chain to reload, or if it is low on health, another Malicious Strike.
- If you find yourself low on health, retreat and cast Feigned Neutrality.
- Use your ressurection skill on fallen allies.
Pros+
- High damage, fairly fast to unleashe chain due to IAS
- Has IAS
- Defense while attacking
- Self heal/defense for a short time when really needed
- Requires no hex that can be removed to start chain
- Gives -7 degen from conditions and a deep wound.
- KD
Cons-
- Has no hex/cover hex
- Nothing against block/dangerous condtions as blind.
- Fairly conditional KD, if target is not alone = chain fail.
- Hard to find PvE mobs thats not alone.
Last Words:
If you approach an group of enemies and realise that none of the enemies are alone in the meaning of not adjacent to another, you skip Horns of the Ox and Falling spider and jump straight through to Twisting Fangs, Malicious Strike.
I would like to have constructive comments aswell, so my next guide will be a better one.
