Vermin Solo Farmer
Vermin farming, something many people despise, but for new players or for people who prefer slow steady cash over harder less reliable farms its great.
The main proffessions that can solo vermin are Elementalists and Warriors, in this guide Im going to show an example for each.
For those who have never seen vermin they are lcoated outside Senjis Corner, and the route You need to take is marked here, with the main area for farming marked with the first circle and your end point marked with the second:
So ensuring you have an Elementalist or Warrior at Senjis Corner all you need to do is follow this guide.
First up Elementalist guide:
Skills :
Fleeting Stability (For 5...21 seconds, you cannot be knocked down. If this Enchantment lasts its full duration, you are knocked down.)
Stoneflesh Aura (For 5...13 seconds, damage you receive is reduced by 1...25 and you are immune to critical attacks.)
Sliver armor (For 5...10 seconds, you have 25...45% chance to block attacks and whenever you are the target of a hostile Spell or attack one nearby foe is struck for 5...29 earth damage.)
Mystic Regeneration (For 20 seconds, you have +1...3 Health regeneration for each Enchantment on you.)
Shockwave (Adjacent foes take 15...51 earth damage, nearby foes take 15...51 earth damage, and foes in the area take 15...51 earth damage.)
Aftershock (Adjacent foes are struck for 26...85 earth damage. Knocked down foes are struck for 10...56 additional earth damage.)
Choice (Here is your choice slot, I generaly prefer stone daggers but tenais crystals or dragons stomp can replace)
Earth Attunement (For 36...55 seconds, you are attuned to earth. You gain 1 Energy plus 30% of the base Energy cost of the Skill each time you use Earth Magic.)
Attributes:
Earth Magic : 14 (11 + 1 + 2)
Energy Storage : 13 (11 + 2)
Earth Prayers : 8
Weapon Set:
I strongly suggest an earth staff with enchantments last +20% and if possible +HP while enchanted. Other than that its up to you.
The Guide:
Now that you are all geared and skilled up you are ready to begin vermin farming, Head out of Senjis north exit and follow the path I have marked on the map above, on your way to the marked circle you will encounter your first few groups of vermin, heres what to do.
Its simple really, once you have cast earth attunement and let your energy regenerate you simply need to follow the skill bar from left to right.
Keep all your Enchantments up at all times and recast the longer recharging skills such stoneflesh armor and sliver armor as soon as they recharge, aslong as you are maintaining all your enchantments mystic regeneration will grant you +15 regeneration, more than enough to handle the bleeding and disease the vermin will make you endure
Once you are maintaining your enchantments you can start to let the attack skills rip for smaller groups you can take out almost the whole group with shockwave and aftershock, with a little help from sliver armor.
Once you have taken out the smaller groups and follow the path you will start to see a much larger group, including the boss, Shreader Sharptongue.
Wait until the groups break up and start to lure a couple of groups towards you, away from the others path (after a few runs you will get the hang of this) aslong as you follow the same rules as for the smaller groups, ensuring all your enchantments are maintained you will be fine.
Continue this process until you have completely whipped out the vermin and have reached the end point. Collect your loot and head back to town, Your first run is now complete!
TIP: instead of merchanting all the white/blue weapons you receive salvage them with an expert salvage kit, youll find you get quite a few steel and iron ingots, and whereas say 10 white/blue weapons would sell for 350-450g to the merchant you can make about 650-850 in steel and iron.
Second Warrior Guide:
Skills:
Healing Breeze (For 10 seconds, target ally gains health regeneration of 3...8.)
Power Attack (If this attack hits, you strike for +10...34 damage.)
Cyclone Axe (Perform a spinning axe attack striking for +4...10 damage to all adjacent opponents.)
Watch Yourself! (Party members within earshot gain +5...21 armor for 5...10 seconds.)
Dolyak Signet (For 8...18 seconds, you have +10...34 armor and cannot be knocked down, but your movement is slowed by 75%.)
Triple Chop (Attack target foe and adjacent foes. Each attack that hits deals +10...34 damage.)
Balthazars Spirit (While you maintain this Enchantment, target ally gains adrenaline and Energy after taking damage.)
Mending (While you maintain this enchantment, target ally gains health regeneration of +1.. +3. In addition to the initial energy cost, you also lose 1 point of energy regeneration while the enchantment is in effect.)
Attributes:
Axe Mastery : 10 ( 9 + 1)
Strength : 12 (10 + 2)
Healing Prayers : 9
Smiting: 5
Tactics: 8 (6 + 2)
Weapon Set:
I suggest an axe with +15% While Enchanted with a vampiric mod and shield with -2 while enchanted and +44hp while enchanted.
The Guide:
Well its kind of self explanatory, basically the same rules as the Ele build, ensure all your shouts and skills are up and then attack away, casting healing breeze whenever you start to get low on life. Balthazars spirit will pretty much keep your energy and adrenaline constantly up so dont worry to much. See the Ele build for more detail.
Well thats that!
Please no comments about how you think vermin farming sucks etc. because you always have to start somewhere with farming!
Hope you enjoyed it!
