Dzagonur Bastion
Dzagonur Bastion sees you defending the citadel from invading margonite forces.
Tip- The bombard towers aid you by inflicting damage to the enemy.
Requirements:
Quest completion of “Calling the Order” –olias
Or
“Greed and Regret” –Magrid the sly
- And Master of whispers must be in your party
Tip- Make Master of whispers an MM
Goals and Objectives:
Kill the Margonite Generals
Standard: 0 Defences remaining
Expert: 1-4 Defences remaining
Masters: 5-6 Defences remaining
The Map:
These five steps will help you do the mission
1. you and Your party
1. Location, location, location
2. Know your enemy
3. Know the route
4. The Strike on the Generals
Let’s begin:
You And Your Party
Your party should be comprised of:
2 Necromancers ( Both Minnion masters)
1 Fire elementalist (SF Nuler,As Most of the generals are static in combat, except the warrior.) -Maelstorm would help you with any problems with the monk boss if cast early.
2 Derish (Balth's Dervish is a good option)
3 monks (Light of Deliverance)
Tip- If your killing the boss slow but have great healing, try replacing a monk for a fire elementalist to speed things up.
Once a general has been taken down an mm can be left by the attacked Bombard, re-enforcing its defence incase a few rouge kournans or margonites cap it.
Don't forget to unflag hero!
And always inform your party of the next rift your going to, so you can quickly arrive in a group.
Location, location, location :
As soon as your teleported to the battlefield instruct the disciple of secrets to a bombard tower each. Move up a bit and prepare for the first spawn of kournans.
Know your enemy:
Before the generals spawn the margonites spawn in the same group’s form where they came. (Following is in game compass form)
The kournan forces are all at lv.16
The Margonite forces are all lv.24
The four Generals are lv.28
East Spawn consists of:
1 kournan priest
2 kournan guards
1 Margonite Warlock
South Spawn consists of:
2 kournan bowmen
1 kournan oppressor
1 Margonite Executioner
North Spawn consists of:
2 kournan guards
1 kournan bowman
1 Margonite Cleric
West Spawn consists of:
2 kournan guards
1 kournan oppressor
1 Margonite Bowman
Know the route:
The kournan forces stick to the same route pre-Generals, they spawn in this order:
East (B)
West (D)
North (A)
North (A)
West (D)
South (C)
East (B)
Tip-The double north spawn can sometimes be mistaken for 1 spawn as the disciple of secrets can sometimes take care of the first group for you if you’re running behind .
The Strike on the Generals
Once the East spawn of Kourans are killed the four generals will spawn.
I find it best to tackle them from this order:
North (Elementalist)
West (Warrior)
South (Monk)
East (Paragon)
Elementalist:
As soon as the last kournan spawn are killed rush to the elementalist boss as fast as you can, Take down a few kournans and then go straight for the boss, once the boss is killed you can leave the Minion master behind to help your allied guards. Now rush to the West Spawn (Warrior)
Tip-If you’re only going for mission you can spend more time there but at the risk of losing a needed bombard tower.
Warrior
Fight off all the kournan troops at the bombard tower, once dead make your advance on the boss and his troops, Kill any clerics first then the boss, anything else can be left till after the boss is dead.
Tip-More time can be spent here as there is not such a risk of losing a tower, you can also see the middle tower quite well so you can see if it’s under any real danger.
Tip-Don’t forget to unflag your Minion master!
Monk
The Warrior boss is down, now move into to centre bombard tower, take out the troops attacking tower and strike, go straight for the monk, The only problem you may face here is when he uses spell block, but that only prolongs his life by a bit.
Tip-an interrupt in the party could make short work of him but seeing as there no more pressure on time its only for preference
Return to middle bombard and prepare for last assault.
Paragon:
Let your party heal if injured and get ready.
Move in and focus all your parties’ damage on the paragon.
Tip-Once killed sit back and enjoy the cut-scene
Note:
This method can enable you to get masters with a full hero and Hench party with 6/6 towers intact and without a lightbringer rank or lightbringer skills/spells.
This is my first guide if you could tell me where I could improve that’d be great.
It may not be the hardest mission but I see a lot of people asking for help in alliance chat, so I decided to give it a try.
