Renewal Sliver Farmer So I know I quit and I've hardly been able to spend any time in the community or in game lately but I do still have the odd hour or so to play and I have been checking in on GameAmp from time to time.
Anyway, here's a quick build for farming those Hulking Stone Elementals (HSE's) outside Sardelac Sanitarium in Hard Mode with your Ele. I made this as I found the VwK Warriors & Hydra hybrids way too slow for this area. Something to note is that Stone Striker is a Nightfall Skill which you can only buy once you're through portal to the Gate of Torment, all the rest of the skills should be available from early skill trainers in all 3 chapters. | The Build

Set up and Skills
The armour doesn't really matter now but with the upcoming armour nerfs you may find the Blessed set is more effective. Sup Earth & Minor Energy Storage runes with a Geo Headpiece.
Here I am using a Totem Axe for the +20% enchants mod, my offhand is a Milius' Eye since I still don't have a good Geo set. Anything should do really so long as you have enough energy, a 20/20 Earth offhand would probly be best tho.
Stoneflesh Aura is your defence here, only Flint, Gargoyles & Cown of Thorns will be able to hurt you through it...the last 2 you should be avoiding. Something to note here is that Stoneflesh isn't an armour buff it's damage reduction as is Mantra of Earth. MoE & Stone Striker are well known paired skills and feature in the UW Sandstorm farmer build. Together these skills reduce damage and give energy at a surprising rate.
Use Glyph of Renewal with Sliver Armour, the fast cooldown of GoR (15 secs) coupled with the maximum time you can squeeze out of Sliver Armour means that you should be able to recast GoR just as Sliver ends. You can use this 15 seconds to re-apply your other enchants and use the other attack skills on the bar.
Teinai's Crystals & Aftershock take up 2 otherwise empty slots, feel free to play with other spells here but these are fast activating and work well for finishing off foes like the Warrior boss Cobble Poundstone.
AoR is there just incase you agro anything other than the HSE's, you can spam AoR (as long as you have energy to do so) fast enough to get a pretty good heal. |

| The Run
The run itself is very straight forward...you run North Eastish from Sardelac Sanitarium and start rounding up HSE's. This build allows you to take on as many as you can hold but will also function on a 1 vs 1 level due to the huge amounts of energy gained from MoE.
As the minimap shows I gave up by the collector West of Sardelec as I agroed 3 Crowns, I don't feel that the time spent getting past them for 2 or 3 mobs of HSE's is worth the potential loot. IMO it's faster to resign and start again with the easily accessable foes.
Following this path you should encounter Flint (Ele Boss) and/or Poundstone (Warrior Boss). Both can be killed solo with this build however it is much faster to agro half a dozen HSE's and attack the boss, Sliver Armour should then take them down in seconds.

In Action

All The Rest
 | As this shot shows the Crown's are a real pain if you get caught up by more than one. They follow you forever and KD you with Signet of Judgement which also seems to rip past all your defences to do significant damage. Luckily these critters only spawn West of Sardelec and sometimes you can run right through their area without triggering a single one...sometimes tho you'll get 6 at a time.
Other problems can be the Shatter Gargoyles in the ruins to the North, stand next to them to kill them asap and spam everything you can to heal against their degen. I've only ever agroed these twice and both times were due to carelesness.
Devourers can pretty much be ignored or treated like a HSE. I've never been interupted by one, I think they have Quick Shot, so again just stand next to them until they die.
Loot is what you'd expect from a HM area and your drop rate I guess is down to luck. I've had tons of Golds & Lockpicks, loads of Charcoal, Rubies & Sapphires, Warrior & Ele Tomes & an UW pass as well as the regular materials and gold you would expect. This run alone can easily generate 10k for a lazy afternoons work.
I have also farmed Trolls, Gryphons and Mino's (Ice Tooth Cave HM not Elona due to anti stance skills) with this and tanked in missions but the build is weak vs any enchant stripping and can be easily shut down by Mesmers. Swapping the skills in slots 2 & 3 allow you to add more defence (perhaps Ward of Stability) & a res.
A E/Mo version of this build can be made to take on degen by using Essence Bond or Balths Spirit for energy and Mending & Watchful Spirit for regen at the cost of lower energy regen and lower damage resistance. The E/Mo version can farm the Undead outside of Bergan and at the start of Gates of Kryta, Vermin outside Senji's Corner cause too much degen. Something I haven't tried is farming outside Maatau Keep but I have heard of people using a Geo build there as well.
Have a play and see where else this nice simple build will work, leave some comments and your ideas for improvements.
