Mission Objectives
Assault Gandara
-Unite the western and southern attack fronts
-Capture the forward Wall
-Defeat the Kournan Gate Captain to prevent him from summoning Kournan troops
-Kill the siege engineers manning the firespitters to clear the way for the southern attack front
-Capture the Kournan bombard to gain entrance to the heart of Gandara
-Rally the attack force outside the Plaza of the Five Gods
-Bonus: Eliminate the Kournan field marshal groups

Primary
This is the last mission on Istan, and it will take you into mainland Elona. It's not too hard as missions go, and is incredibly easy with the right team setup. You have to have Dunkoro, and if you have Prophecies, Olias as a minion master will help a lot, and then Koss. If you can't get Olias, I'd bring either Jin as a barrager with whirling defense or Sousuke as a nuker. Then Khim, Odurra, Herta, and Devona will fill up your party nicely. When you start, you will be on a boat (white star), just run off and start helping the Sunspear kill the kournans. Finishing off the first group of rangers will get you the northern wall (first red flag), then keep going to the gate (second red flag). Kill the Gate Guard or foes will continue to spawn as you kill them. Killing all those kournans opens the gate. After that you get to the Siege Engineers, you need to kill them to unite with the second front (second white star). I recommend you go around the left side first, avoiding Captain Denduru, then loop around killing everything until you get to him. Leave him last, because he takes a considerable amount of time to kill without enchantment removal. Once he goes down, as well as the siege engineers, you will have united the two fronts and more Sunspears will join you. You will also get three allies, one of which is a pretty good minion master, which helps quite a lot. Talking to Nerashi will open the next gate and allow you to continue on. Just kill all the kournans as you go, taking out all of them in the next region will trigger a cut scene and the last gate will be opened (third red flag). Behind it is the greatest threat in this mission. Captain Mwende hits real hard with AoE attacks, so make sure you take him out quick. It would probably be a good idea to flag your heroes apart before you aggro him. After that, there's no big problems, kill the rangers on the stairs and then the next group directly in front of you and the mission will end (green circle).
Upon completing this mission you will find yourself in Yohlon Haven.
Bonus
The bonus is not significantly more difficult than the actual mission. The Field Marshal groups are marked with white dots. It should be noted that approaching them will cause you to be knocked down four times by Kournan Siege Weapon, in relatively quick succession. So if you have any long cast long recharge spells, wait until you get hit by that four times. These groups are harder than normal kournans, as they are higher level and classified as Elite troops, but you shouldn't have any trouble with them. The first group is immediately after the first group of rangers, take a left after going up the stairs. The second is after the cut scene in the middle of the mission. Before fighting Captain Mwende, head to your right and get that group. The last one is after Captain Mwende. Kill the group of rangers on the stairs after him, then immediately take a left and kill the group. If you don't do this first, you won't finish the bonus. This last group is the hardest, because there is a wall of rangers in addition to the field marshal group, but by this time, unless she has died, Lonai should have built up a considerable amount of minions, and it shouldn't be too bad. Once you have killed this group, you will have the bonus. Just go kill the last group of kournans to finish the mission.
