Unlocked Chests

These chest do not require a key. Every character can open these 12 chests only once. They drop an amount of gold depending on there location (from less than 1K --> Istan, to more than 3K --> Torment Area) AND a rare item or gem (sapphire, ruby, diamond). Make sure to check the ground for your drop you will get, because the dropped item will not appear in chat logs until you pick it up. This is a great way to earn some money (+25K) and have lots of items to sell or use.

For the Domain of Pain, if you have a hard time passing through the Middle due to the 3 groups at the end of the Spirit Bridge, it is possible to make your way around the edge.

Just a small note ... concerning the Buried Treasure in Arkjok Ward, the fastest way to get it is through Jahai Bluffs. So, exit Command Post to Jahai Bluffs, pick the Treasure Chest on the side of the fortress, then jog south through the portal to Arkjok Ward and the Buried Treasure is a short distance to the left. No mobs except those you might aggro while opening the chest in Jahai, and you can easily run away from them (take heroes/henches to distract if necessary).

Only prob is that everyone is going to sel the gems and stuff now and it will become worth nothing xD Anyway I'll try this when I've completed NF.

i don't really know anything about chests and stuff so plz explain me the following things:
1. do i actually need to dig for a buried chest or is it just some weird term?
2. can i open those chests again when i go back to that area ?
3. why shouldn't i open some of those chests ?

1) its just like a chest, but it is skinned with a shovel.
2) nope, just once per character and thats it
3) No reason why not, but do not touch's summon djinns to attack you

Pretty much all of them are henchable =)

Trib, are you sure your Realm of Torment outposts are correct? Because some friends and I did the Domain of Pain one with a very similar looking route, but we left from the Gate of Fear ^^

did it 4 times through the middle

ranger with heroes and henchies in 20 minutes
dervish and ritualist with 1 guildmate and all heroes in 15 minutes twice

minion master with 3 guildies and 4 heroes in 1,5 hours ^^

They stay there... until you open them
and then they still stay there.. but you just can't open them no more ^^

For people that have already opened these chests, thsi guide is still very much useful! Thanks to the updates at the weekend, the chests are now re-doable :) Every chest you opened prior to this weekend (19-21 Jan 07) are open to your charcaters again, even if they have already done them! :)

I couldn't find the chest in the hidden city of Ahdashim is it because it is on the other side of the wall. the only chest I found on your path on that map is the quest chest??? Everyother one I have found just fine. Thank you!

Just so y'all know its not gone forever. I believe it might be Once or week or so it refreshes and you can get a new gold. Also try looking for hidden loot in Pre on prophecies.
