The Scythe Thumper
First off, I’d like to thank anyone reading this for taking the time to do so. This is a new build I formulated, and if it has been posted, or you have seen it before I am unaware. Anyways. The purpose of this build is baisically a huge damage spike + the always welcomed 30-40 free damage from your pet. Certain chars, especially casters, will find this build very hard to deal with. So give it a shot, the skills are very easy to get at, and your not losing anything. The energy management on this is awesome also, so you'll pretty much never find yourself waiting for some:)
P.S. This is my first guide, take it easy on me:P:)
Skills
1. Chilling victory- Nightfall
Scythe Attack. If it hits, this attack strikes for +5 to +17 damage. Whenever it hits a foe who has less Health than you, all adjacent foes are struck for 5-41 cold damage.
2. Twin Moon Sweep (Nightfall)
Melee Attack. You lose one Enchantment. If an Enchantment is lost in this way, you strike twice, and gain 1…49 health.
3. Pious Assault (Nightfall)
Melee Attack. You lose 1 Enchantment. If this attack hits, you deal +1 to +25 damage. If you lose an Enchantment in this way, this Skill recharges instantly
4. Grenths Fingers (Nightfall)
Enchantment Spell. All nearby foes are struck for 40-88 cold damage. For 30 seconds, your attacks deal cold damage. When this Enchantment ends, all nearby foes are Crippled for 4-9 seconds.
5. Savage Pounce (Factions)
Your animal companion attempts a Savage Pounce that deals +5-17 damage. If the attack strikes a foe who is casting a spell, that foe is knocked down.
6. Heal as One (Factions) Elite Skill
If you or your animal companion are below 75% Health you both gain 25-145 health.
7. Charm Animal( Core Skill )
Charm target animal. Once charmed, your animal companion will travel with you whenever you have Charm Animal equipped.
8.Natural Stride ( Nightfall )
Stance. For 5 Seconds, Have 50% Chance to block attacks and move 33% Faster. Stance ends if you become hexed or enchanted.
Stats:
Beast Mastery: 8+1+1 (Minor Rune, Helm)
Expertise: 7+2 (Major Rune)
Wilderness Survival: 9+1 (minor rune) *(I do not have a minor wilderness;( )
Scythe Mastery: 10
Wind Prayers: 5
All together, the stats fit perfectly like this, and do pretty well.
Gears:
Hey, I personally chose the armor I liked the most. Attack Major/Sup Vigors if you have them, as they are helpful, and Remember, +10 Physical and Energy Insignias. VERY helpful as it isolates most damage done to you and makes it easy to heal.
Energy armor helps, but the energy management is surprisingly well on this char. I found myself practically never without energy to attack, unless there was a mesmer/ shout warrior, which can be shut down pretty easily by you and your pet
