Im sure that this build might be used or not needed for the touchers anymore cause they arent as popular anymore. But this guide is designated to take down the nasty touchers, warriors, sins, dervs and bunny thumpers(if played still). The effects are kinda similar to the old premade build of "warriors burden"
Attributes
Illusion Magic = 16 (12+3+1)
Inspiration magic= 11(10+1)
Fast Casting=Whatever you have leftover
Now there are alot of skills that you can replace with similar skills depending on your personal preference. But This is my skill set for what i enjoy playing
Conjure Phantasm
For 2-12 seconds, target foe experiences health degeneration of 5
Phantom Pain
For 10 seconds, target foe suffers health degeneration of 1-3. When Phantom Pain ends, that foe suffers a deep wound, lowering that foe's maximum health by 20% for 5-17seconds.
Images of Remorse
Hex Spell. For 5-9 seconds, target for suffers 1-3 Health degeneration. If that for was attacking, that foe takes 10-44 damage.
Conjure Nightmare
Hex Spell. For 2-12 seconds, target foe suffers -8 Health degeneration.
Imagined Burden
For 8-18 seconds, target foe moves 50% slower.
OR
Ethereal Burden
For 10 seconds, target foe moves 50% slower. When Ethereal Burden ends you gain 10-22 Energy.
Energy Drain Elite Skill
Steal 4-10 Energy from target foe. You then gain 2 energy for each point of energy target lost.
Energy Tap
Steal 4-6 energy from target foe. You gain 2 points of Energy for each point of Energy lost.
Ether Feast
Target foe loses 3 energy. You are healed 17-41 for each point of energy lost.
(energy tap can be replaced with rez sig if not in AB)
Ok! now that that is settled.
** How to Use
The overall concept of this build is pretty basic...just degen them to death. Its cruel and very mean to do to a player.. but hey pvp is pvp. Now if i saw a touch ranger..they are always my first pick to pick on. I run up to them and cast images or remorse. This gets their attention and because they are very egotistical(I have a touch and i get that way ;) ) they will most likely come straight for you, quickly cast on conjure nightmare then energy tap them. If there are really close then apply etheral burden, this slows them down and lets you stay out of their range. You should have just enough energy after this to cast energy drain. This renews your energy greatly. Then apply conjure phantom and phantom pain. Keep spamming your energy renewals and images of remorse..if you think one of your degens has expired, then place it up again.. you can most likely keep degen going for a long time. With touch rangers i spam the energy taps and all that like crazy to just drain their energy. When up against an ele or necro i use them as often as possible just because it allows me to steal their energy while i can still apply my hexes on them. This can take down an ele, necro, mes, monk, ranger, warrior, sin, ritualist and sin with ease if done right. The only one thats more difficult is a monk..but they arent really a worry to me unless they are healing my victum. Just watch out for shutdown mesmers and lifetransfer necros can be a pain. A good strat for this is when you see a MM in AB then approach him and spam all your degens on him untill hes dead. There is no way he can keep minions and heal himself enough to surpass this build.
Equiptment
Well use either an inspiration staff thats 20/20 (good choice) or a illusion 20/20.
Armor isnt really a problem, I use courtly just because I cast so often. Probably the one that gives you the most energy will be the best bet
Conclusion
Sure this isnt the best build out there, but in my opinion its amazing, and this might be on the website but i havent seen it on here before so i thought i would post up my idea...could be someone elses to. Im not taking all the credit if any for a degen mesmer. I hope you enjoy playing this as much as i enjoy playing it also. Constructive Critism is welcome but please no flaming.
Thanks! :-D
