Having trouble with a mission? All your team mates passed on? Well, maybe you should try running it? We'll start this guide assuming that you've just lost the mission and are rebuilding a team. Here are the things you'll need to know.
First, let me give you some team hints. You need to pick quality members. no filling. Of course warriors with sprint are good. Also you can pick up some rangers with their speedy skills, but also, don't forget that elementalists have armor of mist, which makes them 33% faster, and even average skill in water magic will make it last for 15 or so seconds at a time. But how do you tell if one warrior will be better than another? You may want to first consider some runes of absorption and some runes of vigor. That can be very handy. Just ask how much life the have and if the have any absorption runs on their armor. Make sure to question everyone. Spell casters are known for wearing high powered runes, which greatly increase your magic, but also trash your life. It's no good having 15 water magic if you only have 200 life. But of course what if you can't find anyone to fill the team!?!...here is a huge mistake many people make. If you can only find 7 of the 8 people...DO NOT TAKE A HENCHMAN!!! Henchmen are no good for running, in fact, they can often keep a train on you for longer than necesarry. If you absolutley cannot find another mate, just leave it blank. It's sad but true. It would be best to find one tho, even if you do have to take a desperatly lame one, as long as they can avoid attack or act as bait.
THis brings up another point. Often times, one player is just better at running than others. You may find it useful to distract the enemies so that better runners can get through. THis is a perfect use for those lower-level tag-alongs.
Of course, another mistake people make is this. They try and run it all at once. If no monsters are on your tail, then take a rest. heal up, get your bearings, regain your energy and recast any spells you may need. It doesn't do any good to run, half dead into the unknown. Plus, sometimes, if you stop and check around, you'll find that there are teammates that you can resurrect, giving you an increased chance of success. Oh, and since we're there...EVERYONE NEEDS TO BRING RES!!!!! It's true, you all get rezzed at the cutscenes, but if you don't have to wait, then don't. Of course, if you only have the signet, rez wisely. Don't waste your rez on a lvl 10 in a 17 zone, he might, but probably won't make it.
Well, that's all for now. But I'll be back with more hints and tips later!
