- Aranha's Assasin Builds! -

These builds arent rip offs but some of em might be well known builds.

All of these builds require shrouded 70 armors and the stats are pretty simple to figure out. Might post em if i get enough time to do it since i got my hands full for the moment.. Been keeping these builds in a text document and finally decided to share it with my fellow gw players (hopefully kurziks ;D). Enjoy!

Build 1:
A/Mo
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs

Moebius Strike
Mending
Death's Charge / Sprint / Shadow Refuge (PvE)
Res Signet

[Golden Phoenix>Horns of the Ox>Falling Spider>Twisting Fangs>Moebius Strike. Repeat from Horns of the Ox>]

"RA or TA Build. High damage output.. I love this build ^^"

Build 2:
A/Mo
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Contemplation of Purity

Aura of Displacement
Shadow Refuge
Res Signet/Dark Escape

[Golden Phoenix>Horns of the Ox>Falling Spider>Twisting Fangs. Contemplation of Purity and removes all your enchantments (Aura of Displacement & Shadow Refuge) and removes 1 hex and 1 condition, Aura of Displacement is a nifty skill in GvG sice you can shadow step to target foe and cancel it to return to the spot you cast it from. Shadow Refuge acts as a heal which is also an enchantment]

"GvG Build which is quite good. Stable but not really a good damage output"

Build 3:
A/Me
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Arcane Echo

Shadow Form
Dark Escape//Res Sig
Shadow Refuge//Death Charge

[Golden Phoenix>Horns of the Ox>Falling Spider>Twisting Fangs. Arcane Echo copies the next cast spell for 20 seconds which allows you to cast Shadow Form for example. This skill will then Copy the skill which gives 2 Shadow forms in the skill bar. Shadow Form should last for aprox 17 seconds and you have to be quite fast on activating the second Shadow Form which you copied with Arcane Echo becose it only lasts for 20 seconds in the skill bar.]

"This build relies heavily on a short burst tactic of 40 seconds of near invincibility
to 20 seconds of near death, perfect for ganking or running flags past an entire team being unharmed.
The build can fight in a team but requires a lot of coordination with monks dealing with when
shadow form ends and the energy required to keep the assassin up after it ends."

Build 4: Hex + Cripple chain
A/Mo
Mark of instability
Black Mantis Thrust
Jungle Strike
Twisting Fangs
Falling Spider
Horns of the Ox (or other dual attack)

Moebius Strike
Res Signet or Optional

[Mark of instability,Black Mantis Thrust,Jungle Strike,Twisting Fangs,Falling Spider,Horns of the Ox (or other dual attack),Moebius Strike. The problem with this build is that it requires 6-7 slots in the skill bar. The damage is totally devastating tho and target foe is crippled, knocked down, bleed, deep wound and poison. Great and killing monks ;)]

"Mark of instability acts as a hex which triggers Black Mantis Strike to cripple your opponent.
Then if foe is crippled Jungle strike does nearly double damage, Twisting fangs applies bleed and
Deep wound which lowers the foes hp by 20% and the foe is knocked down due to Mark of Instability.
Falling spider then hits while the foe is knocked down and does damage and applies poison and then
You can choose a dual attack of your own choise which makes moebius strike usable which recharges
all the attack skills (not Mark of Instability though). Repeat it and Enjoy! :)"

This is all i have to offer for now and i hope ill get some positive comments on this guide and not just flames.

Enjoy the builds and have a great time killing people ^^. I know i do!

I personally don't play sins much(meaning i've played them once or twice) so i wouldn't know much about these builds. All I can say apart from that is...
First Comment!!!

  nephotep on 10/16/06 07:45

nice builds ( tho in build 1 ur 1/mo and use sprint? :P )

personally ive been using something imilar to "build 2" for ages, and i find it really nice :P

  Wyat_hawke on 10/16/06 08:39

Build nr 1 I don't like, you can't protect yourself from damage...
Build 2 is better, it is much more balanced.
Build 3 is improved here (Dual Shadow Former build), which makes shadow form last forever if done right.
Build 4 I REALLY like! that build is well thought out, it gives you enormous amounts of damage, in such short time. I would consider dropping the rez signet if you are doing AB and switch it out for Shadow Refuge. But that 4th build is truly awesome!

So overall, the guide itself is a 7/10, but that nr 4th build is a 10/10! GJ on the guide, jolly good mate

  Aranha on 10/16/06 10:33

haha thanks hawke.. i actually came up with build 4 just like 2 days ago ;D. It kinda just popped into my head and i was like wow this build can be pretty darn evil ^^. Keep posting comments :). Well i kinda thought i would be able to update this (pretty new at this) but perhaps ill remake it if u cant update.

  Wyat_hawke on 10/16/06 12:55

Oh, and as I remember it, next time you should post pics of the skills... Seems like you know a couple of things about editing already, so why not put in a couple of skill pics aswell? ;-)

  Aranha on 10/16/06 12:59

hehe yeah that what was i was planing :). Sent a pm to one of the admins about it. Gonna update it with pictures, skill guide, armor and weaponry and such aswell.

  SirShaitan on 10/16/06 16:10

Hi.
I like 4 as well here is a variation, try this with your build only as A/W

Mark of instability
Black Mantis Thrust
Jungle Strike
Twisting Fangs
Falling Spider
Horns of the Ox (or other dual attack)
Flourish Elite
Way of the Fox <<< use 1st next 5 attacks can't be evaded or blocked

  solgae1784 on 10/19/06 12:37

Build 4 may be great, but not so if you think about how much energy it requires. You will most likely run out of energy before you can perform Twisting Fangs, and a break in the combo means more time for your enemy to react. Relying on critical strikes is not a good way to manage your energy.

  Wyat_hawke on 10/19/06 14:14

No, but using a zealous dagger is =)

  solgae1784 on 10/19/06 14:39

Even with zealous dagger and shrouded armor, by the time when you perform twisting fangs, you are out of energy and won't be able to perform falling spider, disrupting your combo.

Out of 32 energy from shrouded armor, 10 energy for applying mark of instability, then 10 energy for BMT +1 energy gain from zealous, 5 energy for Jungle strike +1 from zealous, then by that time, you will have around 9~10 energy left, which is only enough to do twisting fangs. You may get lucky and get a critical strike in between, but if critical strike doesn't happen, you are out of luck at that point, and you will need to run away like hell since you don't have much energy to use any skills to save yourself (which the build doesn't have any to began with)

If you use a +5 energy dagger, then the build may work and I would swap another dual attack with shadow refuge or dark escape. Staying alive is critical for assassins and also less stressful for monks.

  Survivingsin on 10/19/06 20:46

They're pretty good builds only seem to only be variations of dagger combos. 2 I like becuase your escaping the battle AND healing your self. That is probably your best build of them all. Gatta try that some time.

Over all: 8/10

  Aranha on 10/20/06 20:41

solgae1784 - with 13 crit you gain 3 energy everytime you crit.. all of these builds work great since ive tried em all. in Build 1 forexample you can chain all the way to twisting after going thru the first chain and after you have used moebius due to the critical strikes. Hehe i missed alot of stuff when i made this guide and yes all the builds pretty much require Zealotus daggers. Well build 4 is pretty tight on energy but when you learn to handle the energy loss you can master this build pretty fast :).

Thanks for all the great comments and special thanks to Wyat_hawke for all the support and tips :).

  musicluver027 on 11/07/06 20:56

i really like build 4, it looks like it could kick some serious ass (hopefully luxon). however i think blades of steel would be a better choise instead of horns of the ox since all of ur skills would be recharging
