ok after you ascend and go to forge you will get the quest hero's journey. and you complete it by going to hero's audiance, seekers passage, destiny gorge. afterwars there will be the ghost npc's in the town that will give a profession change quest. in the quest you have to assassinate a boss mob (including about 2 or 3 regular enemies near its location).
you get the quest to get one of the professions at the following towns
Seekers passage=Ranger and Monk
Destiny Gorge=Warrior and Mesmer
Hero's Audiance=Elementalist and Necromancer
so if u wanted to be a N/Me you would go to destiny gorge to do quest (note you cant change back until you do the profession quest that you first changed out of, so you could not become a N/W again until u did warrior quest. but after you do a quest u dont have to do it again and can just talk to NPC)
