SPINAL SHIVERS
I hope this build makes it through the sensors because my last two didn’t for some reason. I now know to save them in Word first. Anyways. I have seen a lot of people try and get this build working, and it IS a great idea; but even I have had trouble finding the right mix of stats and skills. This build might work better with a ranger, but I don’t play a ranger, I play a warrior. So, I built it for a warrior. I have had great success with this build in random arenas, and decent success with it in team arenas. I included a snap shot of my gear and stats, because I think they’re important in this build.
Skills
1) , hence the namesake. This is the key to this build. Slap this on your for, and when ever you hit with your sword you will interrupt whatever action they are performing, spell, skill, ritual whatever.
2) Parasitic Bond. This isn’t there for the degen or the possible health bonus (although if you get them then great) it’s in there because of the cheap cost and fast casting time. Use this to bury Spinal Shivers.
3) This is like rush, but better. I use this as my elite because for the most part, unless you need to heal up or recast, its like a constant spring. It doesn’t drain energy, and is cheaper then rush (once you cast it, it is basically 2 adren instead of 4)
4) Sever Artery. Make ‘em Bleed. Plain and simple. Puts extra pressure on them.
5) Bull Strike. I’m proud of this little sneaky addition to the build, I added it in, in a WAY later addition. It works wonders! And usually is my finishing blow.
6) . Blocks attack, I use this right before, I use my sigs
7) Healing Sig. You know what this does
8) Rez Sig. You know what this does.
Gear & Stats
Take full Glads. You need as much energy as possible for this build. Note my weapons as well. The sword, it needs to be ICY, if you don’t deal cold damage then this will not work. And Grim Cesta instead of a shield? Whaaa? Yeah, well you ain’t a tank, might as well get some energy. Stats go as follows. You need 9 Curses for the Cesta to kick in. you need 9 for the sword. I suggest making Strength the highest, as most of your skills are taken from that category, then tactics for healing.
Quickly, How to use.
Pick a target. Say a monk. GET CLOSE TO THEM, but don’t start attacking as to draw attention to yourself. It helps a lot if you aren’t the first guy to rush in, so kind of hang back. Then cast Spinal Shivers on your target, WHILE it is casting click on parasitic bond, so it will cast immediately when you are done. Do it in this order because that way, even if a monk casts a hex removal your parasitic bond will be the one removed. Then just lay into them, you should have most of your energy still and you will interrupt mostly everything. Throw gash in there, to start making them bleed. Don’t use battle rage yet. Eventually they will realize that you are kicking their ass and get freak out and start to run. The second then start to run, turn on battle rage, and you will still be pounding on them, use bull strike too!! This is the fun part. They get scared and start to move a little, and you just slam them to the ground for like 65 damage. Try and keep up battle rage, as long as possible. After like a few tries you will get the hang of it and basically be 25% faster the entire map.
If you are hurt or a team mate is dead. Use Riposte, which should be charged, and fire off a sig, that way it will be less likely to get interrupted. Then get back to the pounding.
Additional Notes:
Remember that you don’t need to target casters only, as spinal shivers interrupts ANY action. Also, pay attention to the pink arrow on their name, to make sure that no one removes the hex. Use sword or axe, because the point is to attack as fast as possible, hammer is slow. Also, I originally used Frenzy, it was impossible for them to cast, IF they were standing still, but as soon as they moved you were out of luck. Plus it drains your energy too much.
Please give me suggestions on how to improve this build
