Hello there, welcome to my attempt at a somewhat detailed guide.
Anyhow, I created this build while experimenting with the Dragon Slash sword elite skill and managed to come up with my own build for it. Now, from what I have found it isn't a copy build at all, though I do admit I didn't spend "hours" on end browsing various sites (including GA and Wiki) just to be thorough. Also I got lazy and didn't bother to include a screen shot of the armor since it really doesn't matter a whole lot what you use, excluding runes.
The Dragon Knight
(Warrior/Monk)
Armor:
Armor is fairly straight forward and you really don't need to use Gladiators for the extra energy since you won't really need it. In fact almost any combination of armor works so long as you make sure you have the required attributes met.
The armor I used is as follows:
Head: Ascalon
Chest: Knights
Hands: Platemail ( 90AL + 10 Phys)
Legs: Knights
Feet: Platemail ( 90AL + 10 Phys)
Runes:
Minor Tactics, Superior Absorption, Minor Swordsmanship, Superior Vigor, Major Strength
Weapons:
As for the weapons I suggest the all-useful Sskai's Sword which generally goes for around 15k. Also, as you are rarely in a stance or enchanted I do suggest the -5 damage (20% chance) Shield simply because it's troublesome to switch between shields in a fight.
Strategy:
Pick Target > "For Great Justice!" > Berserker Stance > Sun and Moon Slash > Dragon Slash > Sun and Moon Slash > Dragon Slash > etc.
With this build starting up a fight is probably the hardest part, mainly because from the get-go you lack adrenaline to perform your attacking skills. Basically you want to pick your target, activate "For Great Justice" and then Berserker Stance and hammer away until Sun and Moon Slash is charged. Once you use Sun and Moon Slash Dragon Slash should charge. Use it and then Sun and Moon Slash should be charged once again. (Starting to see the combination?) One or two attacks should make Dragon Slash charge again and using it will let you go right into Sun and Moon once more. For the most part you're doing a near continual chain of Sun and Moon Slash/Dragon Slash.
Now, of course you wont always be able to continually use these skills however, you'll be more than able to deal a large amount of damage in a short period of time with this build. Now, defensively it does lack hence the addition of the three healing skills. Orison of Healing is there to use for a small heal, but you can nearly spam it. It's low energy so it shouldn't affect you very much. Healing Signet is your emergency heal, something you should only use if and when you run out of energy and need a heal. Remember; only use Healing Signet if you're down to 200 or so health and not much lower if you can help it. Healing Breeze is your counter to degen (Poison, etc.) use it only when necessary as it does cost 10 energy.
Be wary of Blind as that is the biggest enemy of this build, you could consider switching out either the Healing Signet (and setting the freed attribute point into swordsmanship or strength), Healing Breeze or Orison of Healing and replace it with a condition remover if you so please.
Uses:
This build was primarily used in PvE, however I have tried it in PvP/AB and I have yet to be disappointed with it.
Final Comments:
So, that was my guide, I hope it proved to be useful to you guys. Questions, comments, feel free to PM me or leave it via commentary here. If you’d like to flame, discredit this build or whatever go ahead I guess, I can’t exactly stop you, though a PM would be nice. And as always constructive criticism is nice and welcomed.
