Hello all,
This is my first of hopefully many guides. I recently bought GW and really enjoy the game. Even as a new play I see a TON of repeat builds, and I’m sure they’re good, but they just aren’t for me. I like to be original. Here is a build I came up with today that I was so proud of; that I decided to join here so I could post it. This is my first one, so have mercy on my soul.
1) Healing Sig – Pretty self explanatory. Use it to heal yourself
2) Victory Is Mine – The Elite of the build. It will almost always give you full health and mana, if you have enough foes in the area.
3) Deadly Riposte – Great skill. Works wonders for this build. It blocks attacks, causes extra damage AND bleeding.
4) Riposte – Blocks attack and causes damage. Adrenaline skill, saves mana.
5) Sever Artery – Adren. Skills. Causes bleeding. You need this in case you need to cause bleeding on a caster or some one who isn’t dumb enough to attack your ripostes.
6) Hamstring – Cause crippling, the foe cant escape, and soon NO ONE WILL ESCAPE!!!!
7) Epidemic – THE KEY TO THIS BUILD. It’s a no attribute Mezmer skill, it takes all the conditions on one foe, and then transfers them to all foes in the area. (I.E. your bleeding and crippling)
8) Rez Sig – Well, this is always handy. Can be replaced if you want to be a jerk ass. (look at Shield Bash/Shield Stance if you need more defense or Final Thrust if you need more offense)
This build could work in either PvE or PvP, although it’s probably a better PvE build. The main object is, you use sword skills to not only block incoming attacks, but also to cause conditions to your opponents, then use Mesmer skill (Epidemic) and transfer them to ALL the opponents. Once you do that, VIM it up!!! Get all your health and mana back.
The only skills that drain your energy are epidemic and hamstring at 10 a piece, but you use hamstring sparingly. The key is just hit one foe with the crip/bleed and then right away give it to all foes.
Put skills points into Tactics. Strength. Sword (in that order) Helpful items to have. Barbed Sword Hilt to length bleeding time, and tack on a pommel of defense or sword mastery or fortitude. Use runes at your own discretion, since you don’t want your health to drop too low. It’s a simple build that’s effective and easy to use. Basically small or no learning curve. Hope you have fun using it.
Who will save us?
