It's time for me to shed light on one of the most effective builds i've ever created. As the title says, Destructive is the only word for it! This is a deadly build i've been using against the Luxons for several weeks, and i think it's time to unleash it into the open... I certainly hope you like it, and i hope you find it useful :)
Let's start with the basics...
This is an Alliance Battle build. I have not tried it in the Arenas, and can't imagine it would be as effective - feel free to try it there, you never know!
You will require both the Prophecies and Factions campaigns for this build!
Attributes
Necessary Runes: Superior Vigor, Major Water Magic, Minor Energy Storage
Skills
- Armor of Mist
- Glyph of Lesser Energy
- Backfire
- Shatterstone (Elite)
- Shatter Enchantment
- Vapor Blade
- Ether Lord
- Ether Feast
Equipment
Choose whatever armor you please - i prefer using Aeromancers armor due to the heavy usage of Lightning skills by NPCs in the Saltspray/Etnaran maps.
The following are suitable weapons for the build.
TACTICS
Start a match by casting Armor of Mist to get a speed boost. The sooner you get their the faster you can capture the point.
When engaging enemies, prioritize with casters first, rangers second, and warriors last.
Start your attack by casting Glyph of Lesser Energy before getting in range. Cast Backfire on your foe to startle them. Cover backfire breifly with Shatterstone. If the target casts an enchantment (or is already affected by one) cast Shatter Enchantment. Follow up with Vapor Blade (deals half damage if target is enchanted) to most likely finish your target off.
Of course, if your target hasn't been eaten alive by your spells - continue to cast Shatterstone and use your weapon to finish them off.
Armor of Mist is there to protect you when you run away. DO NOT stay and try to fight off 3 enemies by yourself - not even 1 warrior. Just cast AoM and bail out.
Ether Feast will provide some small healing, but it's not going to make too great a difference. Of course, this means your enemy will lose some energy, which can help.
And finally we have Ether Lord. Cast it on your target as soon as your energy hits 5. I can assure you from experience they will PANIC. (Using Ether Lord will completely drain your energy - i can assure you this is not desirable nor wise to use when you have enough energy to cast your offensive spells).
Important things to keep in mind!
- You will not be able to sustain much damage. Avoid travelling on your own, and only attack lone casters if by yourself.
- Foes that are highly vulnerable to this build include are those that frequently cast spells, and have no hex removal skills.
- Rangers have high resistance to Elemental damage. In other words, don't attract their attention.
- Warriors are slightly vulnerable here, with little hex removal, and an easy target if they use an enchantment. Shatterstone/ShatterEnchantment/VaporBlade and then run away! Don't forget that Ether Lord will stop them regaining energy for a short time!
- For those who MUST have a ressurection skill, Ether Lord should be dropped for it.
That's it, i hope you like it! If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me at darkxian@hotmail.com!
