At first, the Assassin lays Edge of Extinction, 1 Warrior lays Predatory Season and the Ranger lays Nature's Renewal.
When EoE is killed or runs out, the warrior lays it.
The Sprint/Revive Animal warrior calls the targets and everyone follows them EXCEPT on the relic running map where 1 of the other warriors calls and the sprint/revive guy grabs relics. On the map with the Ressurection Orb, The sprint guy talks to the hero and the N/E casts Windborne on the hero then they run to the altar. The N/Mo takes the Orb. If he drops it, the sprinter runs back to pick up each new one to keep the team alive. If someone dies, Ressurect them STRAIGHT AWAY. Once 3 enemies are dead, the Ranger lays Frozen Soil (as long as none of your team is dead). In any map with more than 2 teams, if pets die, all shout IWAY then the sprinter revives all the pets. If possible, each of the warriors and assassin should bring a wand or bow from PvE for against trap teams so they can send pets in without activating traps themselves. If anyone becomes blinded, weakened or dazed, the Ranger should use Martyr (dont bother if a Warrior is dazed, a necromancer is blinded).

PS sorry to all R/Me resolve trappers out there, IWAY doesn't need you anymore :(

Watch out for:
Good balanced teams- counter by killing monks first
EoE Bomb- counter by laying your own, weaker EoE
Spikers- counter by killing the caller, most likely the leader of the group but not always.
Other IWAY with this build- kill N/Me then N/Mo then N/E then R/Mo then A/R then W/Rs.
Mesmers- Just kill them as soon as you can. They will really hurt the necromancers.

Have fun and go win Halls.

Feedback welcome (and yes I did do this version first).

the shield won't work on the 1st 2 warriors?
or u just use that for the while in stance mod?

.....  Endbringer on 06/07/06 00:52

Why in gods name does there need a "better iway"?!!!

  DrkSk8er on 06/07/06 01:06

grats on finding a new build...but honestly, give IWAY a rest. its old and its the reason y america doesnt have favor much anymore.

  Halobump on 06/07/06 04:24

That plus Europe are much better gamers, except against Korea. They just Pwn all.

Science 101 - Food Chains

America --> Europe --> Korea

Sorry but I have to hate you now :S  Ulv on 06/07/06 05:28

Medigo I have always liked you, but now you made this build...
Sorry but my primary target to nerf has always been IWAY...
:-\

  Doomavatar on 06/07/06 06:47

if Korea is at the top of the food chain then they are the worst off or have u not gotten to energy loss yet?

  Taro_Ichiro on 06/07/06 08:10

why on earth do you use Ebon? o_O

  XMegidoX on 06/07/06 08:17

First off, Shield is for the while in stance stuff only and grants like +8 armor or sumthin.

There needs to be a better IWAY coz old iway sux (and this requires skill)

America use iway the most =/

Sorry Ulv :(
I agree, europe rox =D

Arrows point to the one doing the eating.

Ebon is better against Warriors due to being elemental and most Ws using Gladiators (+20 vs physical).

  The labmonkey on 06/07/06 08:34

Yeah, IWAY sucks due to people knowing they'll face a few, and prepping for that, plus some good balancing by ANet.
On the plus side, the sooner this gets out in the open, the sooner people can find ways to counter it. For example that Assassin has long recharge and no AP. Mesmers will kick him.
Then there's Rits, which are great for wide area protection. Shadowsong, dissonance etc should help.

In fact, has anone noticed assassins bieng used against IWAY? It's not a build that's big on communication, so I reckon they could wreak havoc in the backline if they were an A/Rt with Consume Soul/SPirit Light Weapon and Spirit Walk, to use destroy IWAY's many spirits or use them against them.

  Oilball on 06/07/06 09:57

why make trapper the martyr when they have no healing?

  XMegidoX on 06/07/06 10:00

Everything else is important to stay as that class and also the only condition that will really affect the trapper is cripple.

  Aidan_Adelbern on 06/07/06 11:47

a nice use of assassin skills, but i doubt that with a PUG, you'll have any chance of winning the HoH with this build.

  hambones on 06/07/06 12:20

No offense, but IWAY sucks now. It's time for America to use a new build.

  C_Munkee on 06/07/06 14:02

plain and simple IWAY sucks and is retarded..it takes absolutely NO skill to play IWAY...go Ranger Spike or Blood Spike if you want Fame IWAY kills all the fun in HoH

  XMegidoX on 06/07/06 14:32

And using 1-3 skills in quick succession so that someone dies before they can be healed isnt noobish?
IWAY does take skill now, you have no monks and if your spirits are killed, you'll probably lose... Of course Fertile Season/Symbiosis/Shelter/Union can all kill spike teams...
Remember: Major counters to IWAY: Aegis, Ward against Melee, all balanced teams have 1 or both of these anyway.
IWAY doesnt suck (obviously) or nobody would use it.

  ArcherofCritias on 06/07/06 15:03

In some ways i like this but i have been sparce in game play lately, like a bit of a year lol. So i have to ask what is an IWAY

  XMegidoX on 06/07/06 15:09

IWAY= "I Will Avenge You!"
Its a very common build and is very effective. So effective people name new builds after it eg Flareway, ViMWAY, BarrageWAY. Usually people believe putting WAY after a build name makes it better or something i guess. Its often seen as cheap since before a nerf of Order of the Vampire, IWAY and Eviscerate, it used to be extremely powerful, bordering on overpowered.

  silverstein on 06/07/06 17:00

People put WAY on the end of things to make fun of iway, not because they think iway is cool, and barrageway just sounds retarted. At least flare and vim are one syllable allowing for an easily said name. It's only effectiveness comes in running into crappy teams or other iways and farming fame, you will never win halls with it unless you're math, or you eoe at the end.

Everyone hates it because it's extremely common, not overpowered.

  The labmonkey on 06/08/06 05:17

IWAY stands for Imagination, Who Are You?
One of the most popular cookie-cutter builds for fame farming.

  Scizzors1215 on 06/08/06 09:12

Lol i love how your order necro has awaken the blood... might aswell make this an Edge bomb :P also id swap out soul feast for consume to make it easier to kite... i like the idea of incorparating an Asn but the recharge on temple strike is way longer then ur lead and dual attack... which means once uv used T-Strike u have to wait for a long period of time before u can use DB again.

QUOTE

Alot of ppl hate it because America came up with it and Euro got owned by it ;)
But i do agree, it is an extremely common build that i expected to get nerfed to S*** ages ago... a good balanced can beat a good iway , EoS

Having trouble handling IWAY groups eh? So when u get beaten by IWAY... u getting beaten by people with no skil>?? wow how embarrassing for you :P

  Eyrotebor on 06/08/06 16:18

lol geez guys get off his back he just put up a helpful build for people that iway (no im not an iwayer)

  Master Bock on 06/08/06 17:23

wow great job on making a really long and detailed guide,i know how much of a pain it is and great job

  everdream on 06/08/06 18:52

interesting, unique build.

i will give you this, at least you can come up with things on your own and can get it to work on teams unlike some people i've known in the past...

  XMegidoX on 06/09/06 08:39

Thanx for those last 3 comments :)

  Tastal Feral on 06/09/06 10:10

Nice guide! I've never been to HoH, so I'm not to familiar with the IWAY build...er...any build for that matter lol and don't know what the big deal is. Anyway, good job :)

  RulerOfUW on 06/22/06 18:21

If IWAY sucks so much why did i observe an IWAY group own a #65 guild?
if it sucks so bad ppl wouldnt use it and you wouldnt be ragging on it if it sucked
by the way nice guide very detailed

  nonamethegreat on 06/25/06 15:18

iway doesnt suck it's those lame "SITW" teams that require no skill just put some wards up and mess around a bit. this takes away the fun in HA.

Stay In The Wards!

  Eyrotebor on 07/10/06 10:03

if iway was horrible as most of u say it is then r8/9+ people wouldnt be doing it all the time.

  Synch2Lynch on 09/18/06 11:13

just wondering why the points into beats mastery over more strength, i thought the pets needed to die, and you use your iway to deal the dmg. i'm probably wrong buty confused none the less. good guide btw.
