R/E Random Arena Faction Farmer
I have been playing this build for quite some time, and earned lots of faction with it. I have heard some people complaining about having some trouble with the Assassins and Ritualists in Random Arenas, so I decided to share this build.
Profession
You need to be Ranger/Elementalist. I would recommend making a PvP character.
Attributes
You need to set the attributes as on the picture below.
Equipment
This is the armor I use. You don’t need the exact same armor, but the runes are necessary.
These are the weapons I use. You don’t need the exact same bows, but max damage and a Fiery bow string is necessary.
Skills
1: Savage Shot (Main interruption skill, interrupt any skill with it)
2: Distracting Shot (Secondary interruption skill, interrupt healing or high damage skills with it)
3: Poison Arrow [Elite] (Spam skill, poison all 4 people on the other team with it)
4: Read the Wind (Preperation, keep it on you always)
5: Whirling Defense (Defensive skill, use if taking damage from melee or bow attacks)
6: Troll Unguent (Self healing, use to counter the damage taken and keep yourself alive)
7: Conjure Flame (Extra damage skill, keep it on you always)
8: Resurrection Signet (Resurrect fallen party member)

Tactics
Go to the Pvp Island and enter mission from Random Arena.
Once you have entered mission, take a look at your team.
Are there any soft targets? (Elementalists, Necromancers, Mesmers, Ritualists or Monks)
If so, get ready to play offensively. Try to kill people on the other team before the soft targets on your team dies.
If not, get ready to play defensively. (Most people attacks soft targets first, but if there is none, they usually go after Rangers and Assassins) Try to stay a bit in the background, use your defensive and healing skills with care.
When timer starts, put on Conjure Flame and Read the Wind and run with your team to the opposing team – Do not run off on your own. When the opposing team appears on your radar, press ‘c’ to target the nearest enemy. Try to find a soft target, if there is a Monk or a Ritualist, target it and call it by holding Ctrl and pressing space once.
Start with your Flatbow, allows you to fire a long range. Try to poison the whole team with Poison Arrow. When the battle starts, switch to your Shortbow, and get in range of your target. Use the interruption skills with care, make sure you interrupt healing and block/evade skills (Guardian, Weapon of Warding etc) as these will make you unable to interrupt and do damage. Also watch your own status, stop shooting if you get hexes like Empathy and Spiteful Spirit on you, as they deal damage to you every time you attack. When your target dies, choose your next target. Remember: soft targets first.
