Axe Farming Ettin Build

Okay, Here is an Axe build I use for farming Ettins. It works quite nice and is faster than a sword.

Start from LA or Bergan Hot Springs and use sprint when needed to run to the Ettins. I use a collectors axe while enchanted and Malinons sheild. Works really well with Live Vicariously (lots of bonus's).

Before fighting the Ettins cast Live Vicariously. Then start hacking at one of them. Save your adrenaline and use Disrupting chop when he uses Healing Sig to disrupt it. Then use the other skills until he is dead. Dont forget to use Watch yourself and healing breeze. thats basically it. Pretty strait forward.

Dont take all of my runes now!

Not confusing but not to good either, low energy management and no adreline management you have 3 skills that use up adreline and breeze= 10 energy and viciriously which is 10 energy aswell with -1 regen..

You dont need energy much at all. I usually use Healing breeze after I kill the ettins, ocasionally while fighting. I dont need to spam it.

Adrenaline is fine. I usually have enough that by the time they use Healing Sig. I can interupt it. Then spam the other attacking skills.

Anyways, some people wanted an Axe Ettin Farming build so i gave them one.

i dont even use a wammo for farming ettins anymore....
use the old wamme....its so much simpler..i can take on about 6-8 ettins at a time....

how come you have a req 9 shield, but only 8 tactics?

its suposed to be 9 on tactics and 8 on strength. sorry.

Also, how do you get 6-8 ettins on you? there are only a few groups of 2-3 that are spread out?

I know its not infused, i still need to do some infusion runs for some new armor i got.

i suppose it works... btw u get way better dmg with an elemental dmg axe (like fire or earth dmg)

i also suppose that this is somewhere close to the billionth ettin farming guide on the site and ppl just aren't that amazed about them anymore.

there is nothing wrong with the guide itself, u use the build and find that it works and wanna share it with others.

personally im done with ettins, its just not worth the time anymore that kombined with the share boredom of it just make me wanna throw up. most of the time i find that 1h of griffons and hydras or trolls give a larger reward than 1h of ettins especially during these times of economical collapse that we are witnessing amongst the runetraders

It works. Not well or fast but it works. Your guide on the other hand is very well done. Clear pistures and detailed accounts and explinations. I hate to tell you this but this actual starategy is poor. It would take forever and if you have a ele you do this faster, Dolayk signet you do this faster, riposte you do this fast ect....

I prefer "watch yourself" over Dloyak Sig. And with Riposte you need a sword, and an axe ,ive found, is better to farm ettins with. It infact doesnt take forever and goes way faster than a sword (i dont have an Elementalist)

Sorry I didnt pay attention to how many Ettin guides have been posted. I didnt know. But someone wanted an Axe build so I shared mine.

Ettin farming is simple, and is rquired to use a sword. Sever artery. and gash are a great combo along with savage slash. It's really all u need.

Disrupting Chop > Savage Slash
Eviscerate + Executioner's Strike > Sever Artery + Gash

Axes are the way to go for Ettin farming. Swords work too, but my favorite Ettin build uses axes.
