As requested, here is a Southern Shiverpeak Mo/R runner.

Attributes/Skills/Weapons/Armor:

The armor is not required to be that exact setup, but i have found it to be to my best preference.

The Fiery Flame Spitter NEEDS to have a 20% enchanting mod on it, the weapon itself only lowers the chance for a quick recharge by 10%, however, it makes your spellbreaker last 20% longer, all the time, therefore the times it doesnt have a fast recharge, it will still have less time to fully recharge after it is over(half a second at the most with serpents quickness).

For the usage, this can run from warcamp -> Citadel -> Copperhammer, in any order. It can also run from Iron Mines -> Thunderhead Keep -> Grotto in any order.

When you first go into a zone, cast both permenant enchantments (Blessed Aura and Watchful Spirit). Then if you want, wait for energy regen. When you come to the first group of monstersm activate Serpents Quickness, then Spell Breaker just outside of the aggro. Begin to run through and cast Storm Chaser as it will make you run faster(obviously) and give you tons of energy. When your Spell Breaker begins flashing, get ready to cast it again and continue running. You may want to use dodge for the short period that Stormchaser needs to finish recharging. Cast stormchaser again if needed, by the time the second spellbreaker wears off, you should be clear of danger for at least a little bit of time, long enough for serpents quickness to recharge as well as your other skills. Just continue this until you reach your destination.

Some of you may wonder why I dont use mending and get +3 regen. The awnser is rather simple. If you read Watchful Spirits description, when it ends it heals you for 190 life.

This can be extreamly helpful for those times you health goes rather low as it is usually when you are towards the end of the aggro of a group of monsters. All you have to do is double-click is Icon in the skill monitor area to deactivate the skill and instantly heal yourself for almost 200 life.

Thanks for taking the time to view my Guide, And to those who were wondering about this type of running, you are welcome. :)

^----That was by me, Dunno why it doesnt have my name on it :(

  Zirgey_Man on 03/31/06 18:11

this guy needs to be told by an admin that he doesnt get credit by submitting guides made by other poeple, he ahs done thsi 3 times now and im sure its annoying other people not just me

  Zirgey_Man on 03/31/06 18:14

oh and i got another question, could i use a kephets refuge staff? it got a 20% enchanting mod on it too

  mwpeck on 03/31/06 18:19

Zirgey, i think you have the wrong guy, Look at my name, i've been here for awhile. I would not try to take credit from someone elses work. Harrow can vouch that i just spend the last hour or so putting this together. At the most, i've seen a build and improved upon the original concept, besides, i've had people request that i post this.

As for the staff, that could work, but it wouldnt be as effective, the offhand and fiery flame spitter combo has 20% longer lasting enchantments, as well as 30% chance to recharge your skills faster.

Harrow The Pious on 03/31/06 18:19

No. Mwpeck wrote this and submitted it. Its a bug on the forums that changes the name to that dude. Thats why he has so many guides. Its just a glitch. No worrys ^^

  Zirgey_Man on 03/31/06 18:27

ok good just trying to help sry MW i dont see ur nme on it or anyones for that matter and have seen it a few times so i thought it was yours but that ( ) guy stole it

  mwpeck on 03/31/06 18:29

Its ok, it shows up as me posting it through my profile :).

Anyways, hope some people can put this guide to good use.

  Zirgey_Man on 03/31/06 18:51

i will i was asking about it before, and i dont think i can afford a 20% enchanting mod at this time lol

  mwpeck on 03/31/06 19:17

It should work, seeing as your SB will recharge on a normal basis in the same amount of time, you just wont have a chance to get a fast recharge, which makes it possible to re-cast it long before it ends.

  VILenin on 03/31/06 21:46

Hm, Fiery Flame Spitter? What is that, I've never heard of it nor seen one. Where do I get it?

  mwpeck on 03/31/06 21:51

The Fiery Flame Spitter can be found here, as well as searching the forums.

  VILenin on 03/31/06 22:24

Yeah, I searched and found it immediately after making that post, unfortunately. So I came off as a fool for nothing.

  KahlanXvii on 04/01/06 03:32

Why do you need a remove hex when you got spell breaker oO

  Im Not A Lemon on 04/01/06 06:37

serpents quickness does effect spells
a skill is spells/stances/attack skills
just everything you put on the SKILLbar.

Forgot to clarify this.......Serpents Quickness indeed does affect everything in your skillbar, If you try this, you will also notice that your Stormchaser, which is a stance, also has an extremely short recharge period when compared to its recharge without Sepents, however, Stormchaser is a stance. :)

  mwpeck on 04/01/06 08:20

Thanks to linda for pointing this out to me.

QUOTE
Yes, serpents quickness works with SB and it is a 2 second wait time, but to be quite honest, It seems less then that, even.

The length spellbreaker lasts is infact 30 seconds, because it takes 37% from Blessed aura, which would make the 18 second SB last 24.66 seconds, or, 25. Then it takes 20% from the Fiery Flame Spitter from the 25 seconds, which is 5 seconds, which makes the SB last a total of 30 seconds.

  Krypper on 04/01/06 15:05

Does it actually do that? I always assumed that it just added the percentages, making a 57% total lengthening. 18 x 1.57 = 28.26

Hm...

  mwpeck on 04/01/06 15:38

Yes, i tested it and it does last exactly 30 seconds instead of 28. Because of the reduced recharge time of SB, it has a 30 second recharge(as opposed to 45), and when its about to wear off, watch the recharge is SB. Its recharging timer will be done the second it wears off.

  Janus Anobix on 04/01/06 15:59

very nice guide, now to only do the ranger ascending mission :D

You wouldn't doubt the accuracy of my information when it comes to this now would you? :o

  ImperialMike on 04/01/06 19:15

Well... I like that you added the pictures. This is basically the same build I posted back in November. See author Imperial Mike

  mwpeck on 04/01/06 19:28

Didnt even notice, Mike. As i said, i've had a few people request i post this. And after looking at yours, this is a little more in-depth then yours. Although yours covered a lot of other area's

Tor Den Mektige on 04/02/06 00:09

very nice build :) ill have to check this out when I have time! thanks! very easy to understand

bow down to ur lord on 04/02/06 15:35

Shouldnt a guide for running an area have MAPS? Or are we supposed to guess the route by just heafing in the general direction?

I got your back on this one mwpeck. He says that it could be used for 2 different sets of 3 town runs, therefore a bunch of maps would just be a waste of space, IMO.

  sonofjenova7 on 04/02/06 17:44

The only problem I had with this run so far is from physical dmg and body blocking lol. the arrows hurt from rangers and sometimes it's just gay to run into all those little red dots and have no where to go. I wonder if blessed aura will do anything about that...(lol just thought of it while i was typing)

  sonofjenova7 on 04/02/06 17:46

not blessed aura...balthazaar's aura.

  White Tadpole on 04/03/06 09:34

With the setup you have displayed.... I see you have 97 spent on Wilderness Survival, and 97 spent on Divine favor. Additionally you have 6 points left to spend. However, you have all your armor, equipment and spells displayed and I cant see where you would gain the 2 free attribute points for healing??? Not that it really affects the build.

  Solicity on 04/04/06 05:19

because when he did the stats picture, he had a rune of major healing on a different set of armor.

nice guide! ill check it out as soon as my monk is ascended - any luck on the droks run with this?

TY, and yes, that could take up a lot of space, i'm on vacation right now(spring break), but maybe i'll get some run paths put up when i get home. And yes, i do have a superior healing which i plan to get a new armor piece to get that extra 50 health.

Axe Grip of Enchantment  Dark Helmuth on 04/07/06 20:13

Nice setup indeed, just one problem. Where do I get the Axe Grip of Enchantment 20% - I have been searching everywhere, even asking other players if they have it for sale.

I assume that it's a rare upgrade, but is it really that impossible to get?

Thanx,
Jimmy

wow, for a run to grotto
you should hav ALL your peices of armor infused
as far as i can tell only 3 pieces are..

There are no mursaat or jades in the area between warcamp/grotto/and copperhammer. It's mostly just imps, golems, and stone summits.

  Valor Helm on 04/10/06 18:58

Also, the leg piece was customized, meaning it was a screen pic taken from an armour vendor. Why does this matter?

  Blindman on 04/13/06 15:36

this is a very nice build but i have a question. where would i find that offhand?

stance + stance = no stance  Brother Christ on 05/23/06 15:13

Your dodge and serpents or storm chaser and serpents will cancel each other out right?? so... what do u do?

downsides  Brother Christ on 05/23/06 16:03

this build also cant stand up against things such as azure shadows.. or any stuff that knocks u down.. or the spirit "Frozen Ground." -10% speed and makes your speed skills useless.. extremely hard to make it out of that spirit's range alive. This build is very limited to specific runs, for example, you cant run droks.. worms.. you cant run from iron mines to copperhammer.. azures + spirits.. and you have a very hard time against ranged enemies. Other than that.. great idea and build.. congratz on originality but thumbs down on the range of things you can run. Who would've thought a monk can run?

  MasterPatricko on 05/28/06 05:48

I still don't understand how you can use SQ and then Stormchaser ... they cancel each other out, cause they are both stances, so your SB will not recharge fast enough, right?

  Poonaah on 06/06/06 19:37

posted a follow up guide, based on this guide, included more healing, although can be exploited by the expulsion of the skills, remove hex and purge conditions, You need to be careful.

I did not link to this guide, Sorry. :), nice guide,

VIEW MAPS IN MY GUIDE FOR THIS RUN. WILL HELP YOU.
