dunno what happened to the title, could an admin change it to something applicable, it was suppsoed to be soemthing like "farm the nightbringer w/ 55 necro"
i'm not sure about a monk, the bosses health regen skills are a good, which you can counter with ss and insidious parasite, doing nearly 100 dmg per hit combined
might i suggest using perhaps spoil victor instead? it'll make killing the boss much faster, and since you're a 55 it works well. if you bring awaken the blood, you can be causing 115 damage everytime it attacks you...and it shouldn't make them run since its not AoE at all :P
i never thought of using spoil victor before as i've mostly just been farming full mobs, but it would be good for farming bosses for greens. the only draw back wuld be that ss hits every time they attack or use a skill, where as spoil victor appears to only do damage when they hit you. not quite as good with spell caster bosses maybe? soemthing to try out
also if you use SS and insidious parasite you only cause 84 damage per hit :P
o and a totem axe might be good since you have so many enchants

i just looked at monk skills, and it might be possible to do it if you bring word of censure and maybe spear of light or something like that...also with a monk you can keep up shield of absorbtion constantly with blessed aura. signet of mystic wrath might be a pretty good choice as well, cause of all the enchants...agian >.<

i've tried it with spoil victor instead of spiteful spirit, and it works great. havent found it any faster in killing whole mobs as you take on one at a time, but with a recharge time of 10 seconds its not long before you can move on to the next enemy, so i havent found it noticibly slower either.
i'm trying it 2 ways, 1 with spoil victor, life siphon and vampiric gaze, and the other swapping vamp gaze with insidious parasite. with curses at 6 it steals 27 health per hit, combined with spoil victor, thats 132 per hit. the only drawback with that is it has a 20 second recharge where as vamp gaze has 5.
yeah you're right, not sure when and why they moved him, so no clue about if the build works anymore in that area due to any enchant strip enemies. guess i'll go check
